The "call sign" used by various radio or television stations:
Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner, which shares its name with the channel. TBS carries a variety of programming, with a focus on comedy, along with some sports events, including Major League Baseball and portions of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship.
As of February 2015, TBS is available to approximately 96.5 million pay television households (82.9% of households with at least one television set) in the United States.
TBS is available on cable and satellite providers throughout the entire United States. Until October 1, 2007, the national TBS feed could not be viewed within its home market in the Atlanta metropolitan area, due to the over-the-air presence of WTBS (channel 17), which carried a nearly identical schedule, with the only differing programming being children programs that meet the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s educational programming guidelines and public affairs programming.
"Dead Things" is the 13th episode of season 6 of the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
After a wild round of sex on the bottom floor of Spike's crypt, Buffy and Spike carry on a real conversation about decorating and Buffy's feelings for Spike. Spike asks Buffy if she even likes him, to which she replies, "Sometimes." Pulling out a pair of handcuffs, Spike then asks Buffy if she trusts him to which she replies, "Never." Meanwhile, The Trio, now hiding in a rented house after being forced to flee their lair, have put the finishing touches on a new gadget, the Cerebral Dampener, which will turn any woman of their choice into their pseudo-willing sex slave.
Buffy takes a break at her job to talk in private with Tara. While nervously rubbing at her handcuff burned wrists, Buffy reveals that Spike is now able to hurt her, but not other humans. Suspecting that the resurrection spell brought her to life "wrong", Buffy asks Tara to do some research to see if she can find out just what is "wrong" with her.

This is a brief recording of a technical difficulty slide from late 1986 on WTBS (now just TBS). There was a power failure in the area that knocked the station off the air. The video changes colors part way through. I didn't get the whole thing, just about a minute or so.

June 1981 promo from Atlanta's Superstation WTBS announcing the introduction of "Turner Time" where shows would begin five minutes after the hour and half hour
There's no way I can explain the impact this little clip had on me back when I was in college. It brings back SO many memories for me. It's hard to explain, but I first saw this while visiting my favorite uncle in Atlanta. I had never even heard of a "superstation" before and the melody of the theme music took me YEARS to identify (Rodney Franklin's "Life Moves On"). I'm amazed that I could still identify it. Anyway, this one is just for me and the folks who remember TBS Theatre Latenight.
On August 4, 1984, three weeks after "Black Saturday", NWA Wrestling returned to WTBS in an early morning time slot. These are the opening moments of that show. Note that despite the huge changes, Ole and Solie act as though nothing has happened, making the decision to ignore the controversy and move forward.
Promo for WTBS's "TBS Evening News". Leads into the TBS Monday Night Movie opener.
Old promos for the Superstation WTBS network, which is now just TBS.
Here's a WTBS movie promo followed by the intro for "Night Tracks". Can anybody help with the exact year? It has to be at least 1982 or later.
Tonight, I know in my heart
I want to be with you
Let me love you tonight
How can I make you want me?
How can I make it for real?
I wanna love you, forever
I hope that you feel the same
I'd give everything for you
To make you want to stay
I'll give everything I have
I love you more than I can say
Let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
I know in my heart
I want to be with you
Oh, baby, let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
In a million years, I won't be over you
Let me love you tonight
I know you don't want to
Be without my love
And if you're gonna kiss me
You know that you'll have to stay
I'd give everything for you
To make you want to stay
I'll give everything I have
I love you more than I can say
Let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
I know in my heart
I want to be with you
Oh, baby, let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
In a million years, I won't be over you
Let me love you tonight
Let me love you tonight
In the light, I see your face
But only in my dreams
Let me be the one to hold your hand
And make you understand
Oh, let me love you
I want to make you feel alright
Yes, I know in my heart
I want to be with you
Oh baby, let me love you
Let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
I know in my heart
I want to be with you
Let me love you tonight
And I'll make you feel alright
In a million years, I won't be over you
Let me love you tonight
