Alexisonfire (pronounced "Alexis on fire") is a five-piece Canadian post-hardcore band that formed in St. Catharines, Ontario in 2001. The band consists of George Pettit (unclean vocals), Dallas Green (clean vocals, guitar, piano), Wade MacNeil (guitar, backing vocals), Chris Steele (bass guitar), and Jordan Hastings (drums, percussion).
They describe their music as "the sound of two Catholic high-school girls in mid-knife-fight" (a reference to their song "A Dagger Through the Heart of St. Angeles", also the inspiration for their debut album cover art). When the band came out of the underground like an "utterly captivating car-accident-in-progress" in late 2001, it was enough to impress critics as well as earning their self-titled debut album a gold certification in Canada.
The band has released three subsequent successful studio albums since then: Watch Out! in 2004, Crisis in 2006, and Old Crows/Young Cardinals in 2009, each achieving platinum certification in their native country. Plus three special edition live albums from Manchester Academy, Birmingham Academy, and Brixton Academy. Their accolades include a 2005 Juno Award for New Group of the Year.
"Young Cardinals" is the first single from Alexisonfire's fourth studio album, Old Crows / Young Cardinals.
The song was first played on the radio on April 20, 2009 and premiered on imeem on April 22. As of April 24, "Young Cardinals" has been streaming on Alexisonfire's MySpace page. The song was officially released on May 12, 2009. A music video was shot for "Young Cardinals" on May 2, 2009, on board the Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls, Canada and premiered on MOD on May 15.
The song is also available for download on the music video game Guitar Hero World Tour and is featured in EA Sports NHL 10.
Watch Out may refer to:
The Band was a Canadian-American roots rock group, originally consisting of Rick Danko (bass guitar, double bass, fiddle, trombone, vocals), Levon Helm (drums, mandolin, vocals), Garth Hudson (keyboards, saxophones, trumpet), Richard Manuel (piano, baritone, drums, vocals) and Robbie Robertson (guitar, percussion, vocals). The members of the Band first came together as they joined rockabilly singer Ronnie Hawkins's backing group, the Hawks, one by one between 1958 and 1963.
In 1964, they separated from Hawkins, after which they toured and released a few singles as Levon and the Hawks and the Canadian Squires. The next year, Bob Dylan hired them for his U.S. tour in 1965 and world tour in 1966. Following the 1966 tour, the group moved with Dylan to Saugerties, New York, where they made the informal 1967 recordings that became The Basement Tapes, which forged the basis for their 1968 debut album, Music from Big Pink. Because they were always "the band" to various frontmen, Helm said the name "The Band" worked well when the group came into its own. The group began performing as the Band in 1968 and went on to release ten studio albums. Dylan continued to collaborate with the Band over the course of their career, including a joint 1974 tour.

Live at Reading Festival 2015. Lyrics: A man sits at his desk One year from retirement And he's up for review Not quite sure what to do Each passing year The workload grows I'm always wishing I'm always wishing too late For things to go my way It always ends up the same Count your blessings I must be missing I must be missing the point Your signal fades away And all I'm left with is noise Count your blessings on one hand So wait up, I'm not sleeping Alone again tonight There's so much to dream about There must be more to my life Poor little tin man Still swinging his axe Even though his joints Are clogged with rust My youth is slipping My youth is slipping away Safe in monotony So safe, day after day Count your blessings My youth is slipping My youth is slipping away Cold wind blows...

Alexisonfire's last EP for the while it seems. This EP contains six songs from their previous four albums re-made by Dallas Green, and Wade Macniel. The songs are mostly sung as if it was a City and Colour song. I had the chance to see Alexisonfire on their Farewell Tour in Vancouver recently, and it was the best time of my life. I'd give anything to relive that night. Anyways, Alexisonfire is the first band ever to make it into mainstream music in the Screamo genre. They will not be forgotten anytime soon, AOF forever... Alexisonfire interview at MuchMusic with Leah Miller.
"The first full length album by Alexisonfire completely embodies the sound of late teens and early 20's. Full of dumb confidence and lacking in concentration. Hundreds of parts and riffs strung together in to a fun little hodge podge. We were living and writing freely. Sometimes too much freedom isn't always a good thing." - George Pettit Alexisonfire sat down on camera at Dine Alone HQ to chat about each release and their favourite AOF moments, album by album. The waiting or the waiting room
You're next sir
Becomes a cruel taunt to you

The smell of sleep and disinfectant
Your God is

If only we could heal ourselves
We wouldn't need to be hooked up to these machines
