PLO Lumumba

Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba (born 17 July 1962) is a Kenyan who served as the Director of Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission from September 2010 to August 2011 and is currently the Director of The Kenya School of Laws since the year 2014. An eloquent lawyer, he holds a PhD in Laws of the sea from the University of Ghent in Belgium. He is also a staunch Pan-Africanist and has delivered several powerful speeches alluding to or about African solutions to Africanperoblems.

He is an admirer of Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara, the deceased revolutionary leader of the Burkinabe people. He is also remembered for his emotion laden and energetic speech in Uganda at the thirrd Anti-Corruption Convention. He has referred to and quoted them severally in his speeches. On August 28th, 2015, the PAV Ansah Foundation invited him to speak at the 2015 PAVA Forum on Good Governance, Whither Africa?

At the lecture, he expressed his serious concern about the energy crises that African leaders have allowed to reach such adevastating stage. He also talked about the issue of African youth fleeing the continent. He blamed them on the economic hardships and the "misgovernment" from their leaders. Lumumba encouraged African leaders to rise up to the challenge of changing the fortunes of the continent.

Palestine Liberation Organization

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) (Arabic: منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية‎;  Munaẓẓamat at-Taḥrīr al-Filasṭīniyyah ) is an organization founded in 1964 with the purpose of the "liberation of Palestine" through armed struggle. It is recognized as the "sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people" by over 100 states with which it holds diplomatic relations, and has enjoyed observer status at the United Nations since 1974. The PLO was considered by the United States and Israel to be a terrorist organization until the Madrid Conference in 1991. In 1993, the PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, accepted UN Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, and rejected "violence and terrorism"; in response, Israel officially recognized the PLO as the representative of the Palestinian people.

Founding

At its first summit meeting in Cairo in 1964, the Arab League initiated the creation of an organization representing the Palestinian people. The Palestinian National Council convened in Jerusalem on 28 May 1964. Concluding this meeting the PLO was founded on 2 June 1964. Its stated goal was the "liberation of Palestine" through armed struggle.

Phil Galfond

Phil Galfond (born January 16, 1985) is an American professional poker player. Galfond won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the $5,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha with rebuys event at the 2008 World Series of Poker. Due to his success as a high-stakes online player, he appeared on multiple seasons of GSN's High Stakes Poker. He is currently the owner and a trainer on poker training site Run It Once.

Personal life

Galfond is originally from North Potomac, Maryland and attended Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He used to reside in New York City where he installed a slide as his access between the two penthouse apartments he purchased in 2011. He married Farah LeeAllen Fath on May 15, 2015.

As of August 2015, Galfond's total live tournament winnings exceed $2,300,000. His nine cashes at the WSOP account for $1,705,999 of those winnings.

World Series of Poker

Galfond won the $5,000 pot-limit Omaha with rebuys event at the 2008 World Series of Poker, earning $817,781. He defeated Adam Hourani during heads-up play. The final table featured a number of well known professional players including Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, John Juanda, Kirill Gerasimov, Johnny Chan, David Benyamine, Brian Rast as well as online star Adam 'houdini' Hourani. At the 2013 WSOP Galfond finished second in the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em six handed event for $744,841.

Omaha hold 'em

Omaha hold 'em (also known as Omaha holdem or simply Omaha) is a community card poker game similar to Texas hold 'em, where each player is dealt four cards and must make his or her best hand using exactly two of them, plus exactly three of the five community cards. The exact origin of the game is unknown, but casino executive Robert Turner first brought Omaha into a casino setting when he introduced the game to Bill Boyd, who offered it as a game at the Las Vegas Golden Nugget Casino (calling it "Nugget Hold'em"). Omaha uses a 52-card French deck. Limit Omaha hold 'em 8-or-better is the "O" game featured in H.O.R.S.E. Both limit Omaha/8 and pot limit Omaha high are featured in the 8-Game.

History

Omaha Hold'em gets its name from two types of games.

In the original Omaha poker game, players were only dealt two hole cards and had to use both to make a hand combined with community cards. This version of Omaha is defined in the glossary of Super/System (under Omaha) as being interchangeable with "Tight Holdem". Across all the variations of the game, the requirement of using exactly two hole cards is the only consistent rule. The "Omaha" part of the name represents this aspect of the game.

The HBK Gang

The HBK Gang, also known as The Heartbreak Gang, is an American hip hop and music production collective based in Richmond, California, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded by Iamsu!, Chief and P-Lo in 2008, members also include Sage the Gemini, Skipper, CJ, Rossi, Dave Steezy, Jay Ant, Kool John and Kehlani. After contributing to various mixtapes and Iamsu's Kilt II in 2013, in August of that year the group released their debut mixtape Gang Forever. HBK Gang Records is the name of an associated independent record label.

History

Founding

The hip-hop collective HBK Gang, or The Heartbreak Gang, is primarily composed of friends who met while attending high-school in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically Richmond. They founded the collective in 2008 while still in school, and members as of 2013 include Iamsu!, Kool John, P-Lo, Sage the Gemini, Skipper (or $kip), CJ, singer Rossi, Dave Steezy and Jay Ant, with rapper Iamsu! first starting to found and organize the group in 2011.
