A BAFTA award-winning BBC series with John Berger, which rapidly became regarded as one of the most influential art programmes ever made. In the first programme, Berger examines the impact of photography on our appreciation of art from the past.
Ways of Seeing is a 1972 BBC four-part television series of 30-minute films created chiefly by writer John Berger and producer Mike Dibb. Berger's scripts were adapted into a book of the same name. The series and book criticize traditional Western cultural aesthetics by raising questions about hidden ideologies in visual images. The series is partially a response to Kenneth Clark's Civilisation series, which represents a more traditionalist view of the Western artistic and cultural canon.

Tube & Berger
Tube & Berger is the alias of Deep House/Electronica producers Arndt Rörig and Marco Vidovic from Germany. The duo is best known in the United States for their 2004 #1 Billboard Hot Dance Airplay hit "Straight Ahead", featuring Chrissie Hynde on vocals.
In summer 2003, Zane Lowe featured Tube & Berger's single "Geradeaus" during his evening show on BBC Radio 1
They played together with Sonique and Zweiraumwohnung.
During 2013 they toured in Brazil, South Africa and Australia.
In December 2013 appeared their Video "Set it Off".

Marco Berger
Marco Berger is an Argentine film director and screenwriter born December 8, 1977.
He studied at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and made his directorial debut in 2007 with the short films Última voluntad and El reloj. His first feature film was Plan B, which was presented on a number of film festivals (Buenos Aires, Rome, London). But it was with the film Ausente (English title Absent) that he won "Best feature film" for what the judging committee said was "an original screenplay, an innovative aesthetic and a sophisticated approach, which creates dynamism. A unique combination of homoerotic desire, suspense and dramatic tension."

Daniel Scioli
Daniel Osvaldo Scioli (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈnjel ˈsjoli]; born January 13, 1957) is an Argentine politician, sportsman, and businessperson. He was the 33rd Vice President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007, under Néstor Kirchner, and was Governor of Buenos Aires Province from 2007 to 2015. He has also served two tenures as president of the Justicialist Party.
Family
Scioli was born in Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires. He spent his first years in a typical middle class home located at the corner of Corrientes and Humboldt. His grandfather ran an electrical hardware store, which over time grew into a store selling electrical appliances that was to become the family business. Scioli has described himself as a loyal man devoted to his stable and intimate circle, and an understanding but demanding father.
In 1975, his brother José Scioli was kidnapped by a cell of the Montoneros guerrilla group. Daniel Scioli, then aged 18, had to carry out the negotiations with the kidnappers to free his brother. José was released in exchange for a cash payment to be done by their father.

Plot: The idle rich have their own particular problems. The film is about solidarity but also about the power game that is generated when one person is relying on another. The idea is to explore power, helplessness, social boundries, brotherhood, desire and love.
Similar to Plan B, Hawaii is a small & simple story, easy to shoot independently. All the film takes place in summer, in a countryside house, and only two characters carry the story forward. Working with a small team, the film can be shot with $40,000. While reaching the goal would allow us to shoot the film, it would be great if the goal is excedeed and we can make things more comfortably. Maybe even recording the music in an actual professional studio! ;)

Why Kickstarter?
The project is created by a partnership between Marco Berger (director / screenwriter of Plan B & Absent) and Pedro Irusta, musician and composer of both films. We are asking support through Kickstarter not only to film Hawaii, but also to be able to produce - for the first time- an independent film that we can own and that may allow us to create a platform to continue producing films in the future.
We are getting a hard time getting funds in the traditional way, even though Plan B & Absent got a very good response worldwide. So when we heard about the new possibilites of crowd funding, we thought it was a good moment to explore these new online social networks. We love the idea that if many people contributes with a small amount the film can be made.

About the director
Marco Berger was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. Studied at the University of cinema. His short film The Watch (2008) competed in Cannes and Sundance. His first feature film Plan B (2009) premiered in the official competition of the Rome Film Festival and participated in many other prestigious festivals. Absent (2011), his second feature film, premieres at the Berlinale where it won the Teddy Award.
Both films are released commercially in France, Germany, England and America. Other highlights include: The short film A last will (2007), the short Platero, episode 2 of the film Five (2010) and the three short films Cousin, Broken arms and Training; Sexual Tension feature film, Volume 1: Volatile (2012).
Hawaii is his first project as a producer.

Hawaii is a film about a helpless man that is reunited with a childhood friend who helps him, thus creating a bond that goes beyond friendship.
a strange relationship starts to grow
Martin seeks for an odd job at Eugenio's house. When Eugenio recognizes Martin as a childhood friend, and realizes his current situation, he decides to give him work for the summer. Unintentionally, a power & desire game is generated and a strange relationship starts to grow, but it cannot flourish mostly because of the social differences that grew between them since childhood. This kind of barrier typical in Jane Austen's novels is resignified in a contemporary story of social classes.

The film is about solidarity but also about the power game that is generated when one person is relying on another. The idea is to explore power, helplessness, social boundries, brotherhood, desire and love.
Similar to Plan B, Hawaii is a small & simple story, easy to shoot independently. All the film takes place in summer, in a countryside house, and only two characters carry the story forward. Working with a small team, the film can be shot with $40,000. While reaching the goal would allow us to shoot the film, it would be great if the goal is excedeed and we can make things more comfortably. Maybe even recording the music in an actual professional studio! ;)

Why Kickstarter?
The project is created by a partnership between Marco Berger (director / screenwriter of Plan B & Absent) and Pedro Irusta, musician and composer of both films. We are asking support through Kickstarter not only to film Hawaii, but also to be able to produce - for the first time- an independent film that we can own and that may allow us to create a platform to continue producing films in the future.
We are getting a hard time getting funds in the traditional way, even though Plan B & Absent got a very good response worldwide. So when we heard about the new possibilites of crowd funding, we thought it was a good moment to explore these new online social networks. We love the idea that if many people contributes with a small amount the film can be made.
