Days Go By was the only single from Not by Choice's 2002 album, Secondhand Opinions and the last single released as a band. The music video features Not by Choice playing in the downtown Hamilton, Ontario GO Transit Bus terminal and riding on a Coach bus.
"Days Go By" is a pop punk song by the American punk rock band The Offspring. It is featured as the third track on the band's ninth studio album of the same name and was released as its first single. The song was premiered on the Los Angeles, California rock station KROQ on April 27, 2012. "Days Go By" was written by frontman/lyricist Dexter Holland. It peaked at No. 7 on US Alternative Songs.
"Days Go By" was one of the first songs The Offspring started working on for the Days Go By album, and was almost the last to be completed. "We really kept coming back to it over the course of the record", said frontman/lyricist Dexter Holland. It was originally not going to be on the album, depending on how it was doing next to the other songs as the album was being written. "There are versions on YouTube where the guitar riff is different, the verse is different, the chorus is different-so it's a totally different song now, really. It was kind of toward the end [of recording] when people started listening to it. My friends, my manager started pointing at it, saying, 'That's the one you've got to go with."
"The Days" is a song by Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii, featuring uncredited vocals by English recording artist Robbie Williams. The song was written by Brandon Flowers, Salem Al Fakir, Avicii and Vincent Pontare, was produced by Avicii, Fakir and Pontare. The song was played for the first time in Boston, featuring uncredited vocals by Fakir. The song was released worldwide on 3 October 2014. It was released alongside "The Nights" in The Days / Nights. A planned release in the United Kingdom on 23 November 2014 was cancelled.
"The Days" is written in the key of C major, at a tempo of 127 bpm. The chord structure is based on the pop punk chord progression.
An official lyric video was also released on YouTube by the official Avicii Vevo channel. In the video, an artist (later confirmed as INO), spray-paints the lyrics of "The Days" in black against a white wall. Near the end of the video, a pan-out reveals the lyrics creating a portrait of Avicii, which is subsequently covered with splashes of coloured paint by the artist.
The Hundred Days, sometimes known as the Hundred Days of Napoleon or Napoleon's Hundred Days, marked the period between Napoleon's return from exile on the island of Elba to Paris on 20 March 1815 and the second restoration of King Louis XVIII on 8 July 1815 (a period of 111 days). This period saw the War of the Seventh Coalition, and includes the Waterloo Campaign, the Neapolitan War as well as several other minor campaigns. The phrase les Cent Jours (the hundred days) was first used by the prefect of Paris, Gaspard, comte de Chabrol, in his speech welcoming the king back to Paris on 8 July.
Napoleon returned while the Congress of Vienna was sitting. On 13 March, seven days before Napoleon reached Paris, the powers at the Congress of Vienna declared him an outlaw, and on 25 March Austria, Prussia, Russia and the United Kingdom, members of the Seventh Coalition, bound themselves to put 150,000 men each into the field to end his rule. This set the stage for the last conflict in the Napoleonic Wars, the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo, the restoration of the French monarchy for the second time and the permanent exile of Napoleon to the distant island of Saint Helena, where he died in May 1821.
"Days" is a song by The Kinks, written by lead singer Ray Davies, released as a single in 1968. It also appeared on an early version of the album The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society (released only in continental Europe and New Zealand), and now appears as a bonus track of the remastered CD. On the original Pye 7N 17573 label, the name of the song is "Day's".
The song was an important single for Davies and the Kinks, coming in a year of declining commercial fortunes for the band. The song had been intended as an album track but after the relative failure of the previous single "Wonderboy" (which only reached No. 36 in the UK), "Days" was rushed out as a single with an old unreleased track "She's Got Everything" (recorded in February 1966 in the same session as "Dedicated Follower of Fashion") as the B-side. It reached No. 12 on the UK chart, but failed to chart in the U.S. This did not help future releases however as the next four Kinks singles failed to reach the top 30 (two of them failing to chart altogether) in the UK.
"Days" is the fourteenth single by Japanese recording artist Alisa Mizuki. It was released on November 19, 1997 as the fifth and final single from Mizuki's third compilation album Fiore II. It was also included on Mizuki's fifth studio album Innocence. The title track was written and produced by former Every Little Thing keyboardist Mitsuru Igarashi and served as theme song for the second season of the Fuji TV drama Nurse no Oshigoto, starring Mizuki herself. "Days" is Mizuki's first release under the record label Avex Tune.
"Days" debuted on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart at number 14 with 28,020 copies sold in its first week. It stayed in the top 30, at number 24, on its second week, with 18,660 copies sold. The single charted for nine weeks and has sold a total of 101,120 copies.
DAYS is FLOW's seventh single. Its A-Side was used as the first opening theme song for Eureka Seven. It reached #3 on the Oricon charts in its first week and charted for 14 weeks. *
