Doha (Arabic: الدوحة, ad-Dawḥa or ad-Dōḥa, literally in MSA: "the big tree", locally: "rounded bays") is the capital city and most populous city of the State of Qatar. Doha has a population of 956,460 within the city proper. The city is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the east of the country. It is Qatar's fastest growing city, with over 40% of the nation's population living in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and it is also the economic center of the country. It comprises one of the municipalities of Qatar.
Doha was founded in the 1820s as an offshoot of Al Bidda. It was officially declared as the country's capital in 1971, when Qatar gained independence. As the commercial capital of Qatar and one of the emergent financial centers in the Middle East, Doha is considered a world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. Doha accommodates Education City, an area devoted to research and education.
The city was host to the first ministerial-level meeting of the Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization negotiations. It was also selected as host city of a number of sporting events, including the 2006 Asian Games, the 2011 Pan Arab Games and most of the games at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. In December 2011, the World Petroleum Council held the 20th World Petroleum Conference in Doha. Additionally, the city hosted the 2012 UNFCCC Climate Negotiations and is set to host a large number of the venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
A coffeehouse, coffee shop, or café is an establishment which primarily serves hot coffee, related coffee beverages (e.g., café latte, cappuccino, espresso), tea, and other hot beverages. Some coffeehouses also serve cold beverages such as iced coffee and iced tea. Many cafés also serve some type of food, such as light snacks, muffins, or pastries. Coffeehouses range from owner-operated small businesses to large multinational companies such as Starbucks.
In continental Europe, a café is a traditional type of coffeehouse, but elsewhere the term "café" may also refer to a tea room, "greasy spoon" (a small and inexpensive restaurant, colloquially called a "caff"), transport café, or other casual eating and drinking place. A coffeehouse may share some of the same characteristics of a bar or restaurant, but it is different from a cafeteria. Many coffee houses in the Middle East and in West Asian immigrant districts in the Western world offer shisha (nargile in Greek and Turkish), flavored tobacco smoked through a hookah. Espresso bars are a type of coffeehouse that specializes in serving espresso and espresso-based drinks.
The Indian Coffee House is a restaurant chain in India, run by a series of worker co-operative societies. It has strong presence across India with nearly 400 coffee houses.
The India Coffee House chain was started by the Coffee Cess Committee in 1936, when the first outlet was opened in Bombay. In the course of the 1940s there were nearly 50 Coffee Houses all over British India. It was during the late 1890s that the idea was formed.Due to a change in the policy in the mid 1950s, the Board decided to close down the Coffee Houses. Encouraged by the communist leader A. K. Gopalan(AKG), the workers of the Coffee Board began a movement and compelled the Coffee Board to agree to handover the outlets to the workers who then formed Indian Coffee Workers' Co-operatives and renamed the network as Indian Coffee House. A co-operative began in Bangalore on 19 August 1957, and one was established in Delhi on 27 December 1957. Later Bellary and Madras (Chennai) Societies were separated from their mother societies.
Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, which are the seeds of berries from the Coffea plant. The plant is native to subtropical Africa and some islands in southern Asia. The plant was exported from Africa to countries around the world and coffee plants are now cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. The two most commonly grown are the highly regarded arabica, and the less sophisticated but stronger and more hardy robusta. Once ripe, coffee beans are picked, processed, and dried. Dried coffee beans are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. Roasted beans are ground and brewed to produce coffee as a beverage.
Coffee is slightly acidic and can have a stimulating effect on humans because of its caffeine content. Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. It can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, etc.). It is usually served hot, although iced coffee is also served. Clinical studies indicate that moderate coffee consumption is benign or mildly beneficial in healthy adults, with continuing research on whether long-term consumption inhibits cognitive decline during aging or lowers the risk of some forms of cancer.

Qatar Airways flight QR672 from Doha to Male in Business Class on board the Airbus A330. We were in transit from Zurich at Doha Hamadi Airport, which is a great airport with lots of restaurants and activities. Due to the short connection we did not have time to go into to lounge. Boarding at Gate C04 was quick. The plane left on time. Flight time was 4 hours 13 minutes. A quick dinner was served on board with welcome drink, wine and water as well as coffee. The service happened quite late after departure so not much time for sleeping. Therefore also, no real breakfast was swerved to us. Landing in Male was spectacular as always and on time. Thank you for watching this airline review. Do not forget to subscribe and enjoy the other playlists too. Feel free to leave a comment below....

Doha Travel Video - Its rare to see a great city in the making these days. While it would be misleading to represent Doha as a latter-day New York (much of the new development has been given a heart but hasnt yet acquired a soul), Doha is nonetheless well on its way to realising the grand vision of its founding fathers. Whether you go giddy looking down from the 56th floor of the InterContinental, or glide past the exotic skyline from a dhow in the bay, you cant help but be struck by the beauty of Dohas buildings. Doha Travel Video should that be Buildings, with a capital B, for these new goliath-like structures capture the intangible sense of prosperity and optimism you feel when walking around renovated souqs and new malls alike, or while watching Doha families strolling the grounds of...

Not all change is bad - sometimes you must change in order to survive. In this highly controversial and paradigm-shifting talk, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi challenges us to think about change within 'Islam' - not the 'Islam' that is unchangeable, but the opinions of scholars who interpret the texts of Islam and think it is 'Islam'. Our history has plenty of lessons for us to learn from, and modern challenges require fresh thought. There are, as always, extremes in our Ummah: those who want to change everything and make the haram into halal, and those who do not understand that the Shariah allows for some change and fresh ideas. This is a talk not to be missed! IlmFest 2013 Detroit Michigan - AlMaghrib Institue The Rise & Fall of the Muslim Ummah and the Printing Press: http://www.youtube...
Filmed on a Nikon D5500 with Sigma 17-50mm f2.8. A beautiful 10am departure and an even better landing with views of Shenzhen, Macau and Victoria Harbor. Check-in was odd in that the first class line was occupied by group travelers instead and I was directed to the business check-in line after about 10 minutes. The lounge was British Airways Galleries Lounge. For the morning flight, there were only cereals and fruits. Alcohol was available too but oddly no hot food was offered. Overall, not an impressive lounge. Onboard waiting for me was the excellent Cathay Pacific seat in a 1-1-1 configuration and an extremely lovely FA, who took several selfies with me. The crew took excellent care of me, and at one point they apologized for not having an appropriate first class cup for coffee and h...

Watch Angela and I speak the brutal and honest truth about what it is like as an Asian person growing up and living in South Africa. We often joke and say that there's an Asian person in every corner of the world, and if you think about it, it's probably true. We make up 2% of the population here in SA, and there are those who have lived here for generations. Whether you are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Filipino, Thai, this probably relates to you! Here are some of the things some of us have been wanting to say for the longest time. The times may have changed now but for many, some of these memories are something we'd much rather forget. P.S. I know I skipped VLOG 8, I just got so excited about VLOG 9, I decided to upload this one first! Follow me: 😻https://www.instagram.co...
I was lucky enough to fly business class with Qatar Airways on their inaugural flight from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Hamad International airport at Doha, Qatar. This video shows the pre flight speeches and so pre flight build up before the flight. I had such a wonderful day and flight. Qatar really do rock.
Flight experience on board the world's oldest flying McDonnell Douglas MD-87 On Friday I had a special opportunity to fly on board the oldest flying MD-87 as DAT operated Scandinavian Airlines' HEL - ARN sector for one day. SK703 was normally operated by Blue1's B717s but now when they are out of service SAS had to wet lease some planes from DAT because of the lack of capacity. Luckily SAS chose to lease also OY-JRU and as soon as I noticed the aircraft change I was planning my MD-87 round-trip to Arlanda. This was the first of Friday's eight MD-87 flights between Helsinki and Stockholm. After doing some plane spotting at ARN I eventually came back home on board the same MD-87 on the day's last flight, SK724. Ten years ago I flew on board Finnair's MD-83 (OH-___) to Skiathos so this wa...
