Once upon a time, there was a band called Clicker.
It was a show band, doing pop/rock/glam covers and terrific original songs. Clicker played throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest during the early to mid-1970s.
People who saw and heard Clicker — they also got some regional airplay — have fond memories of the band. Every time we write about Clicker, more people share their stories.

MESA?
Two members of Daddy Whiskers were also in Mesa.
Gale, Jack Hurrish, my brother was in MESA, lead singer. Along with Frank, Danny, Randy, Bob Schultz. Excellent 4 part harmony, did alot of POCO tunes. Frank was in DW with both Ebels. Frank now plays in GrayCatz with Jeff Ebel. Just saw them here in Point last month. Many good musicians hailed from Stevens Point Wondering if anyone has any of the old posters for Point bands,included circus.
I hear there’s a reunion planned for this summer.
Gail, sadly Jack and Bob won’t do it. Danny they cannot locate. Frank is excited about it, and Randy is putting it together. They have recruited Tom Dehlinger so far. Was supposed to be a joint deal with Soundstreet(Circus). Let you know when I get an update. Jody.
Oz playing in the Crystal Ballroom of the Loraine Hotel. Mendelbaum Blues Band. Tayles always at the Nitty Gritty. I wanted to be Scott Eakin. My dad wouldn’t let me play the flute as a kid – it was a girl’s instrument, he said. He bought me a trumpet. Later I got to hear Scott Eakin. Then I was sure my dad was wrong.
Little Ziggy and the Zeu got their name from a fake fraternity we started at UW, called Zeta Omicron Omicron (Zoo.) (One of the founding members had the knickname “Ziggy.”) We were friends of the band leader, Danny Faust. So we gave him the name. I’ve forgotten the reason they changed the spelling of Zeu. But there was a reason.
Actually, the band’s original name was Zapata. After incorporating, we tacked on Zapata Enterprises Unlimited (ZEU).

My dad was Larry Schumann. He booked bands around Madison, worked for Gary Van Zeeland Talent, and was involved in several summer music feats that I know of. We had this album and I believe he booked Clicker. I know I spent many an afternoon hanging out drinking cokes at Snoopy’s bar/night club in Madison while he was talking business and hanging posters. I was just a small kid back then. Would love to hear from people who knew my dad.
I knew Larry. He booked a couple bands, I was in with Rich Hayne (Little Vito) out of Madison.
I knew Larry Schumann very well…he booked our band U.S. Pure. I’ve got a booklet he put out with some photos of bands from Sound Storm in Poynette 1970…he was a good guy.
I attended the Poynette rock fest and would love to see that booklet. Any chance of you posting it?
