There are a number of ways in which you can get involved to make a difference.
1) JOIN OUR EMAIL LISTS
AMERICAblog has two different email lists, either or both of which you might find useful.
A. Daily Summary of Posts
Our first email list is simply a daily compilation of all our posts for the past 24 hours, which can be helpful if you don’t necessarily have the time to read the blog multiple times a day, or even every day. This way you’ll simply get one email a day, listing all the posts for the past day. We have a daily list for both the main AMERICAblog site and the gay site, you can pick which one (or both) to subscribe to.

B. Weekly Update/Action List
Our second email list is our weekly update list, that also includes the occasional action alert. Once a week you’ll receive an email summarizing a few of our “not to be missed” top stories of the week. We publish lots of posts every week, so this is a nice way to keep up with the blog if you’re too busy to drop in every day.
We also, from time to time, will send out action alerts on behalf of various progressive causes.

2) SOCIAL MEDIA
Help us out by using Twitter, Facebook and Reddit to recommend our content to your friends.
It’s easy. Just sign up for a Twitter, Facebook and/or Reddit account, and log in. Then, any time you see an article of ours that you particularly like and want to recommend to others, just click the links for each social media company that you’ll find right under the title of each post, helping to ensure that others read our content as well. The more readers we get, the more influence we have and the more ad revenue we generate – both of which help us keep AMERICAblog going.
An easy way to re-tweet our content is to subscribe to our Twitter feeds @AMERICAblog and @AMERICAblogGay, and to our Facebook pages for AMERICAblog and AMERICAblogGay.
3) CONTRIBUTE
Won’t you please make a financial contribution to AMERICAblog and help support independent, progressive, activist media? I truly believe that we have been a unique force for good in politics since our launch in 2004, and we will continue to empower progressives and make a difference in Washington, DC and beyond with your help. But we need your support. Since the economy collapsed I’ve been financing AMERICAblog from my own dwindling savings. We need your support.
Visit our Contributions page to learn more about AMERICAblog and why we need, and I think deserve, your support.
Thanks so much,
