In 2010, the world was introduced to the natural beauty inherent to British Columbia. The cascading slopes of Whistler Blackcomb played host to a variety of Olympic events and continue to attract visitors from across the globe.
Resting just 125 kms north of Vancouver, Whistler is every alpine enthusiasts dream. The two full mountain ranges provide an unparalleled stretch of skiable terrain and a bevy of other outlets for your next outdoor adventure.
The Mountain
Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America. This means that we could spend an entire season on the slopes and still not have them conquered. The endless terrain is serviced by 37 lifts that carry you up the mountains and into the sky. The twin summits are connected by the majestic Peak2Peak Gondola. The view from up there showcases the majesty of the entire area.
The Apres
The après-ski is a culture unto its own in the Whistler village. When the sun goes down, the village comes alive. The locals offer an array of culinary options, and an ambiance to host a broad spectrum of tastes. Sometimes, we feel like cozying up to a warm fire to relive the magic of the day, and other times, we feel like paying homage to Bacchus on the dance floor in one of the village’s electric nightclubs.
Beyond the Boots
Even if skiing isn’t your thing, Whistler is still the place to get your adrenaline fix. Whistler offers everything from snowmobiling to zip lining. We all remember Jon Montgomery’s celebratory pitcher at the base of the skeleton track, otherwise known as the most Canadian moment ever. Having the chance to slide down this terrifying gauntlet gave us a new appreciation for this moment, and the chance to feel like a champion for the day.

Today we're snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain and exploring some secret powder zones. One of my favorite areas to find powder is Grey zone on Blackcomb. To access grey zone you need to take a steep hike called chimney. The area is hard to get to which keeps the powder good longer than other areas. Grey zone has some open spaces for doing big powder snowboarding turns. Crystal is another area of the mountain that has secret powder stashes. Crystal area has many hidden tree runs, but there are also many hazards like cliffs, creeks and tree wells. Snowboard with a friend and take all the precautions to stay safe while snowboarding. Quick fish tail turns can help you get through the tight trees. Thanks for watching!

Whistler Blackcomb
Whistler Blackcomb (TSX: WB) is a major ski resort located 121 km north of Vancouver, in British Columbia, Canada. By many measures it is the largest ski resort in North America; it is 50% larger than its nearest competitor in terms of size, has the greatest uphill lift capacity, and until 2009, had the highest vertical skiable distance by a wide margin. Whistler Blackcomb also features the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for moving between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains at the top; Peak 2 Peak holds records for the highest and longest unsupported cable car span in the world. With all of this capacity, Whistler Blackcomb is also often the most-visited ski resort, often besting 2 million visitors a year.
Whistler was originally conceived as part of a bid to win the 1968 Winter Olympics. Although they lost the bid, construction started anyway and the resort opened for the first time in January 1966. Blackcomb mountain, originally a separate entity, opened for business in December 1980. The two resorts underwent a period of intense rivalry through the 1980s and 90s, with constant upgrades and improvements that was unseen at other resorts. By the mid-1990s the area was repeatedly named the best resort in many skiing magazines. Intrawest, the BC real estate firm that developed Blackcomb, purchased Whistler and fully merged their operations in 2003.

The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

Turn on the Bright Lights
Turn On the Bright Lights is the debut studio album by the American rock band Interpol, released in August 2002. The album was recorded in November 2001 at Tarquin Studios in Connecticut, and was co-produced, mixed and engineered by Peter Katis and Gareth Jones. It was released on August 19, 2002 in the United Kingdom and August 20 in the United States, through independent record label Matador Records. Upon release, the record peaked at number 101 on the UK Albums Chart. It reached number 158 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, as well as spending 73 weeks in the Billboard Independent Albums, peaking at number five.
"PDA", "NYC", "Obstacle 1" and "Say Hello to the Angels" were the singles from Turn On the Bright Lights, and a video was shot for each with the exception of "Say Hello to the Angels".
The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on August 29, 2011 for shipments of 500,000 copies.
A remastered version of the album was released in 2012 to commemorate its tenth anniversary. It featured additional material including demo recordings of several tracks, the bonus songs previously available on international releases and a DVD of live performances and music videos.

One of my favorite areas to find powder is Grey zone on Blackcomb. To access grey zone you need to take a steep hike called chimney. The area is hard to get to which keeps the powder good longer than other areas. Grey zone has some open spaces for doing big powder snowboarding turns. Crystal is another area of the mountain that has secret powder stashes. Crystal area has many hidden tree runs, but there are also many hazards like cliffs, creeks and tree wells. Snowboard with a friend and take all the precautions to stay safe while snowboarding. Quick fish tail turns can help you get through the tight trees. Thanks for watching! I didn't believe it but with Mountain Biking, Disc Golf, Lake Life, Kayaking and Cannoning on offer in Whistler you can see why so many people come to this Canadian mountain town in summer...In this video we will show you just a few of the reasons why Whistler, BC is an adventure lovers playground.
This is where my travels started, back in 2008 so it was a truly magical experience to come back to the Whistler bubble in the summer time and hang with friends.

In 2010, the world was introduced to the natural beauty inherent to British Columbia. The cascading slopes of Whistler Blackcomb played host to a variety of Olympic events and continue to attract visitors from across the globe.
Resting just 125 kms north of Vancouver, Whistler is every alpine enthusiasts dream. The two full mountain ranges provide an unparalleled stretch of skiable terrain and a bevy of other outlets for your next outdoor adventure.
The Mountain
Whistler Blackcomb is the largest ski resort in North America. This means that we could spend an entire season on the slopes and still not have them conquered. The endless terrain is serviced by 37 lifts that carry you up the mountains and into the sky. The twin summits are connected by the majestic Peak2Peak Gondola. The view from up there showcases the majesty of the entire area.
The Apres
The après-ski is a culture unto its own in the Whistler village. When the sun goes down, the village comes alive. The locals offer an array of culinary options, and an ambiance to host a broad spectrum of tastes. Sometimes, we feel like cozying up to a warm fire to relive the magic of the day, and other times, we feel like paying homage to Bacchus on the dance floor in one of the village’s electric nightclubs.
Beyond the Boots
Even if skiing isn’t your thing, Whistler is still the place to get your adrenaline fix. Whistler offers everything from snowmobiling to zip lining. We all remember Jon Montgomery’s celebratory pitcher at the base of the skeleton track, otherwise known as the most Canadian moment ever. Having the chance to slide down this terrifying gauntlet gave us a new appreciation for this moment, and the chance to feel like a champion for the day.

Today we're snowboarding on Blackcomb mountain and exploring some secret powder zones. One of my favorite areas to find powder is Grey zone on Blackcomb. To access grey zone you need to take a steep hike called chimney. The area is hard to get to which keeps the powder good longer than other areas. Grey zone has some open spaces for doing big powder snowboarding turns. Crystal is another area of the mountain that has secret powder stashes. Crystal area has many hidden tree runs, but there are also many hazards like cliffs, creeks and tree wells. Snowboard with a friend and take all the precautions to stay safe while snowboarding. Quick fish tail turns can help you get through the tight trees. Thanks for watching!
