Paul Julian Whitehouse (born 17 May 1958) is a Welsh British actor, writer and comedian. He became known for his work with Harry Enfield and as one of the stars of the popular BBC sketch show, The Fast Show. In a 2005 poll to find The Comedian's Comedian, he was in the top 50 comedy acts voted for by comedians and comedy insiders. He is most well known for his comic characters in The Fast Show, Harry and Paul and Harry Enfield and Chums. He also appears in AVIVA insurance adverts.
Whitehouse was born in Stanleytown in the Rhondda Valley, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. His father worked for the National Coal Board and his mother was a singer with the Welsh National Opera. The family moved to Enfield in north London, England when he was four years old, which led to his discovering his talent for mimicry:
Whitehouse attended the University of East Anglia in Norwich from autumn 1977, where he made friends with Charlie Higson. The pair spent little of their first year studying, instead playing guitar and performing with their punk rock combo, the Right Hand Lovers, along with other university friends Duncan Beamont, Kevin Buckland and Dave Cummings.
Actors: William Rushton (actor), Alun Armstrong (actor), Patrick Troughton (actor), Julie Walters (actress), Rebecca Eaton (producer), William Rushton (actor), Hugh Bonneville (actor), Frazer Hines (actor), Ron Cook (actor), George Pastell (actor), Barbara Kidd (costume designer), Martin Trenaman (actor), Nicholas Woodeson (actor), Nicholas Le Prevost (actor), Stephen O'Connell (editor),
Plot: In the early 1960s, Mrs. Mary Whitehouse, a middle-aged school teacher, begins a campaign against what she sees as filth and smut on BBC television and radio. She and a friend start knocking on doors, circulating petitions and organizing rallies. Her nemesis during this time is Sir Hugh Carleton Greene, Director General of the BBC. He thinks she is just an old busybody who has no artistic taste and doesn't represent the mainstream of British society. Throughout his tenure, which lasted several years, he refused to see her or respond to her correspondence. She continued to campaign at what she viewed as unacceptable programming until her death in 2001.

Harry & Paul (originally titled Ruddy Hell! It's Harry & Paul) is a British sketch comedy show starring Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. It was first broadcast on BBC One on 13 April 2007 and ran until 2nd December 2012 Even though Harry and Paul were "poking fun" at stereotypes, we would be hard pushed to see comedy like this on TV today due to all the PC nonsense. The sketch with the Filipino maid angered the Filipino government. so much they started a campaign to condemn the sketch and eventually the BBC Director General had to officially apologise. This is a selection of some the sketches that angered the public, but of course are the most funny, cut into one episode.

26/05/2014 As part of the 50th anniversary of BBC Two, the channel has commissioned Harry and Paul to celebrate the occasion in their own unique way, and this they are doing - both ruthlessly and Reithlessly. Inspired by Harry Enfield's Emmy Award-winning mythical biography, Norbert Smith, and Harry and Paul Whitehouse's Question Time spoof, the BBC's head of comedy Shane Allen asked them to come up with their own unique biography of BBC Two. In this one-off comedy-drama, Harry and Paul, themselves popular fixtures of the channel for half the 50 years, dance through the story of BBC Two. They start with its painful birth, as 'Auntie Beeb' pushes out the now familiar logo into the arms of the attending BBC execs. This sets the tone as the shows romp through the story of Two's highs and low...
