He maintains a Commission as an Australian Army Officer (reserve).
He was previously General Manager Community, Communications and External Relations for Rio Tinto, CEO of the Committee for Melbourne, member of the Steering Committee of the World Economic Forum 'Future of Civil Society' project, Kings College Humanitarian Futures project, a high level UN official responsible for coordination of massive humanitarian operations and a Delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Working with partners at both the elite and grass roots levels, MacLeod led high level humanitarian teams under great pressure to deliver results in the most arduous of circumstances, crossing cultures, borders and front lines of battle, most notably acting as Chief of Operations to the United Nations response in the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake. He has a track record of building teams focussed to achieve goals in both for profit and not for profit organisations.
MacLeod's experience covers finance, mining, aid, diplomacy, United Nations, not for profit and governments and includes economies and communities as diverse as Mongolia, United States, South Africa, Australia, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Rwanda, Yugoslavia, Pakistan and others.
He is a recognised thought leader in the sustainable investing and value preservation through risk reduction.
Decorations
Andrew received the Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal by Australia for work in the Balkans and was awarded a second time for work in Rwanda. He received the Australian Defence Medal for service as an officer in the Australian Infantry. He was awarded the Silver Medal for Humanity from the Montenegrin Red Cross and was recognised by the Australian Government for his work in East Timor. MacLeod was also recognised with the Australian Davos Connection Leadership Award.
Sport
MacLeod was also a world-class swimmer having won a silver medal for the 200 meters Butterfly at the 2002 World Masters Games. He regularly volunteered to help national swimming teams in the developing countries.

Early life and education
MacLeod was born in Melbourne, Australia. He was educated at Melbourne Grammar School until Year 11 when he moved to St Michael's Grammar School in Melbourne, where he was Captain of the School, and obtained his combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Tasmania in 1993. MacLeod also holds a Master of Laws (International Law) from the University of Southampton and a Graduate Diploma in International Law from the University of Melbourne.

He was previously General Manager Community, Communications and External Relations for Rio Tinto, CEO of the Committee for Melbourne, member of the Steering Committee of the World Economic Forum 'Future of Civil Society' project, Kings College Humanitarian Futures project, a high level UN official responsible for coordination of massive humanitarian operations and a Delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Working with partners at both the elite and grass roots levels, MacLeod led high level humanitarian teams under great pressure to deliver results in the most arduous of circumstances, crossing cultures, borders and front lines of battle, most notably acting as Chief of Operations to the United Nations response in the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake. He has a track record of building teams focussed to achieve goals in both for profit and not for profit organisations.
MacLeod's experience covers finance, mining, aid, diplomacy, United Nations, not for profit and governments and includes economies and communities as diverse as Mongolia, United States, South Africa, Australia, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Rwanda, Yugoslavia, Pakistan and others.
He is a recognised thought leader in the sustainable investing and value preservation through risk reduction.

Andrew received the Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal by Australia for work in the Balkans and was awarded a second time for work in Rwanda. He received the Australian Defence Medal for service as an officer in the Australian Infantry. He was awarded the Silver Medal for Humanity from the Montenegrin Red Cross and was recognised by the Australian Government for his work in East Timor. MacLeod was also recognised with the Australian Davos Connection Leadership Award.

MacLeod was also a world-class swimmer having won a silver medal for the 200 meters Butterfly at the 2002 World Masters Games. He regularly volunteered to help national swimming teams in the developing countries.

He was previously General Manager Community, Communications and External Relations for Rio Tinto, CEO of the Committee for Melbourne, member of the Steering Committee of the World Economic Forum 'Future of Civil Society' project, Kings College Humanitarian Futures project, a high level UN official responsible for coordination of massive humanitarian operations and a Delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Working with partners at both the elite and grass roots levels, MacLeod led high level humanitarian teams under great pressure to deliver results in the most arduous of circumstances, crossing cultures, borders and front lines of battle, most notably acting as Chief of Operations to the United Nations response in the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake. He has a track record of building teams focussed to achieve goals in both for profit and not for profit organisations.
MacLeod's experience covers finance, mining, aid, diplomacy, United Nations, not for profit and governments and includes economies and communities as diverse as Mongolia, United States, South Africa, Australia, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, Rwanda, Yugoslavia, Pakistan and others.
He is a recognised thought leader in the sustainable investing and value preservation through risk reduction.

Andrew received the Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal by Australia for work in the Balkans and was awarded a second time for work in Rwanda. He received the Australian Defence Medal for service as an officer in the Australian Infantry. He was awarded the Silver Medal for Humanity from the Montenegrin Red Cross and was recognised by the Australian Government for his work in East Timor. MacLeod was also recognised with the Australian Davos Connection Leadership Award.

MacLeod was also a world-class swimmer having won a silver medal for the 200 meters Butterfly at the 2002 World Masters Games. He regularly volunteered to help national swimming teams in the developing countries.
