Baghdad – The fourth meeting of the Security Sector Reform (SSR) Criminal Justice Working Group (CJWG) was held on 11 May 2017 in Baghdad, co-chaired by Iraqi authorities and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The meeting focused on establishing an Integrated Criminal Justice Information Technology System (CJTS), identified as a high priority by a cross section of Government of Iraq security sector actors, including the High Judicial Council (HJC), Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Ministry of Justice (MoJ). This computerized information sharing system is crucial for streamlining criminal justice investigations between the HJC and MoI.
