Brisbane is the capital and most populous city in the Australian state of Queensland, and the third most populous city in Australia. Brisbane's metropolitan area has a population of 2.24 million, and the South East Queensland urban conurbation, centred on Brisbane, encompasses a population of more than 3 million. The Brisbane central business district stands on the original European settlement and is situated inside a bend of the Brisbane River, approximately 15 kilometres (9 miles) from its mouth at Moreton Bay. The metropolitan area extends in all directions along the floodplain of the Brisbane River valley between Moreton Bay and the Great Dividing Range. The metropolitan area sprawls across several of Australia's most populous local government areas, including the City of Brisbane, which is by far the most populous LGA in the nation.

The 1st stop in Queensland of the Nitro Circus was epic, I got some of my first GoPro clips and even tried a World First in the show!
There was also a cool local skatepark where we went do a meet and greet with the kids. I managed to do one of the longest Nosemanuals I have ever done!

In our latest travel video 'Things to do in Queensland Australia' you will find all of the top attractions, events, dining, sports and wildlife encounters you've ever dreamed of. This morning we are visiting the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary here in the Gold Coast and we are going to be having lots of animal encounters. During our visit to Currumbin National Park, we had a chance to get up close and personal with Kangaroos. Spotting animals we had previously never heard of was also part of the program, including the orange tree Kangaroo and one of Australia's most dangerous birds the Cassowary.

Overall, we had a really cool experience here. I like that it had more of a conservation environment as opposed to being like a zoo.
Boarding the Derwent Hunter, we went sailing along the Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef located in Queensland, Australia.
It's a beautiful day here in the Whitsunday Islands. After sailing for a while we had the chance to enjoy some beach time with an opportunity to go snorkeling.
Located just a few kilometers from Townsville, Magnetic Island was the perfect city getaway.
The island offers lots of walking trails, great beaches and a hint of rugged charm.
Here is a look at some of the activities we got to try during our visit to Maggie Island.
We also got to try a Bush Tucker Champagne breakfast which featured a delicious spread of food including pancakes, fresh fruit and grilled meats.
We have some free time this afternoon on the island and we've decided to do the Magnetic Island forts walk, which is supposed to be 4 kilometers. It is a return trip and it should take about an hour and a half. This is supposed to be Northern Australian's largest colony of Koalas in the wild.
We are here in Nelly Bay. We were just enjoying a walk along the waterfront and we noticed that there are some Wallabies over there on the rocks.
We are here at the Horseshoe Ranch on the north end of the island and we are going to be going horseback riding.
Also, what makes this experience unique is that at the end of the horseback riding lesson you get to go swimming with the horses in the ocean. That is what a lot of the riders are doing right now.
If you find yourself on Magnetic Island going horseback riding is a lot of fun.
Today we're going to be doing something really cool. We're going to have authentic Australian animal encounters. We're going to be putting snakes around our necks, hugging koalas and you have never had a snake around your neck so this should be kind of interesting.
Our morning at Bungalow Bay Koala Village was the perfect opportunity to get up close with some of Australia's local wildlife.
First we met various lizards, including the the two-headed lizard which has a tail that resembles the shape of its head.
Next it was time to hold a snake. I was quite nervous about it at first, but the ranger reassured me that this non-venomous python was one of the most well-behaved snakes she had every encountered. That was enough to get me to wrap it around my neck.
And lastly, we had the opportunity to hold cute koalas. These sleepy little creatures spend up to 20 hours a day napping, and the one we met dozed off right after its photo op.
Over the last year we've had the opportunity to try kayaking in both Vietnam and Finland.
When the opportunity came to try it in the Whitsundays with Salty
Having the opportunity to hike up to the top was something we couldn't pass up. This moderately challenging hike was certainly a good workout. We noticed many locals exercising along the way.
There are a number of vantage points on the way up but nothing beats the landscapes from the very top.
So they say you should do at least one thing that scares you every day. For me it is going to be riding the Ocean Jet.
After buckling up we began our Turbo Jet adventure. This 880 horsepower vessel ripped through the water like a speeding race car.

Queensland
Queensland (abbreviated as Qld) is the second-largest and third-most-populous state in Australia. Situated in the north-east of the country, it is bordered by the Northern Territory, South Australia and New South Wales to the west, south-west and south respectively. To the east, Queensland is bordered by the Coral Sea and Pacific Ocean. Queensland has a population of 4,750,500, concentrated along the coast and particularly in the state's South East. The state is the world's sixth largest sub-national entity, with an area of 1,852,642 km2. The capital and largest city in the state is Brisbane, Australia's third largest city. Often referred to as the "Sunshine State", Queensland is home to 10 of Australia's 30 largest cities and is the nation's third largest economy.
Queensland was first inhabited by Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islanders. The first European to land in Queensland (and Australia) was Dutch navigator Willem Janszoon in 1606, who explored the west coast of the Cape York Peninsula near present-day Weipa. In 1770, Lieutenant James Cook claimed the east coast of Australia for the Kingdom of Great Britain. The colony of New South Wales was founded in 1788 by Governor Arthur Phillip at Sydney; New South Wales at that time included all of what is now Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. Queensland was explored in subsequent decades until the establishment of a penal colony at Brisbane in 1824 by John Oxley. Penal transportation ceased in 1839 and free settlement was allowed from 1842.

Australia (/ɒˈstreɪliə/, /ə-/, colloquially /-jə/), officially known as the Commonwealth of Australia, is an Oceanian country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands. Bank of Queensland
The Bank of Queensland (branded BOQ) is an Australian retail bank with headquarters in Brisbane, Queensland. The bank is one of the oldest financial institutions in Queensland, and now has branches throughout Australia with a network of 252 branches, including 78 corporate branches and 166 "owner managed" branches. Following the Home Building Society and Pioneer mergers, it now has more than 650,000 customers.
In 2007, customer satisfaction with the bank was placed at 88%.
History
In 1874 the Brisbane Permanent Benefit Building and Investment Society was established as the first permanent building society formed in Queensland. The Society incorporated in 1887. The company amalgamated with City and Suburban Building Society in 1921. The company amalgamated with Queensland Deposit Bank a decade later.
The company received a licence to operate as a trading bank in 1942. Until this point, what became the Bank of Queensland was a savings bank cum building society, not a 'trading bank'. The company changed its name to Bank of Queensland (BOQ) and computerised its operations in 1970. 1971 saw the bank become a publicly traded company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

South Wales
South Wales (Welsh: De Cymru) is the region of Wales bordered by England and the Bristol Channel to the east and south, and mid Wales and west Wales to the north and west. The most densely populated region in the southwest of the United Kingdom, it is home to around 2.2 million people. The region contains almost three-quarters of the population of Wales, including the capital city of Cardiff (population approximately 350,000), as well as Swansea and Newport, with populations approximately 240,000 and 150,000 respectively. The Brecon Beacons national park covers about a third of South Wales, containing Pen y Fan, the highest mountain south of Snowdonia.
The region is loosely defined, but it is generally considered to include the historic counties of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire, sometimes extending westwards to include Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. In the western extent, from Swansea westwards, local people would probably recognise that they lived in both south Wales and west Wales — there is considerable overlap in these somewhat artificial boundaries. Areas to the north of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are generally considered part of mid Wales.

The island offers lots of walking trails, great beaches and a hint of rugged charm. Here is a look at some of the activities we got to try during our visit to Maggie Island. We also got to try a Bush Tucker Champagne breakfast which featured a delicious spread of food including pancakes, fresh fruit and grilled meats. We have some free time this afternoon on the island and we've decided to do the Magnetic Island forts walk, which is supposed to be 4 kilometers. It is a return trip and it should take about an hour and a half. This is supposed to be Northern Australian's largest colony of Koalas in the wild. We are here in Nelly Bay. We were just enjoying a walk along the waterfront and we noticed that there are some Wallabies over there on the rocks. We are here at the Horseshoe Ranch on the north end of the island and we are going to be going horseback riding. Also, what makes this experience unique is that at the end of the horseback riding lesson you get to go swimming with the horses in the ocean. That is what a lot of the riders are doing right now. If you find yourself on Magnetic Island going horseback riding is a lot of fun. Today we're going to be doing something really cool. We're going to have authentic Australian animal encounters. We're going to be putting snakes around our necks, hugging koalas and you have never had a snake around your neck so this should be kind of interesting. Our morning at Bungalow Bay Koala Village was the perfect opportunity to get up close with some of Australia's local wildlife. First we met various lizards, including the the two-headed lizard which has a tail that resembles the shape of its head. Next it was time to hold a snake. I was quite nervous about it at first, but the ranger reassured me that this non-venomous python was one of the most well-behaved snakes she had every encountered. That was enough to get me to wrap it around my neck. And lastly, we had the opportunity to hold cute koalas. These sleepy little creatures spend up to 20 hours a day napping, and the one we met dozed off right after its photo op. Over the last year we've had the opportunity to try kayaking in both Vietnam and Finland. When the opportunity came to try it in the Whitsundays with Salty Having the opportunity to hike up to the top was something we couldn't pass up. This moderately challenging hike was certainly a good workout. We noticed many locals exercising along the way. There are a number of vantage points on the way up but nothing beats the landscapes from the very top. So they say you should do at least one thing that scares you every day. For me it is going to be riding the Ocean Jet. After buckling up we began our Turbo Jet adventure. This 880 horsepower vessel ripped through the water like a speeding race car. Reef to Rainforest | Far North Queensland
Last year in August I traveled up to North Queensland for a quick photo adventure. We stayed at Palm Cove for a week (tough luck!), nearby to awesome places like the Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree rainforest. FNQ has so much to offer! I'm already wanting to go back. Shot on the Black Magic 4K production camera with Canon lenses, graded in Resolve. Movi M5 used in a few shots. Aerials were hand held and stabilized in post (in 4K with the global shutter, it seems to work really well). I love the look that the Black Magic produces, though unfortunately the camera itself is a little to 'unique' to warrant keeping it. I sold it shortly after filming this, replaced by a GH4. In our latest travel video 'Things to do in Queensland Australia' you will find all of the top attractions, events, dining, sports and wildlife encounters you've ever dreamed of. This morning we are visiting the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary here in the Gold Coast and we are going to be having lots of animal encounters. During our visit to Currumbin National Park, we had a chance to get up close and personal with Kangaroos. Spotting animals we had previously never heard of was also part of the program, including the orange tree Kangaroo and one of Australia's most dangerous birds the Cassowary.

Overall, we had a really cool experience here. I like that it had more of a conservation environment as opposed to being like a zoo.
Boarding the Derwent Hunter, we went sailing along the Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef located in Queensland, Australia.
It's a beautiful day here in the Whitsunday Islands. After sailing for a while we had the chance to enjoy some beach time with an opportunity to go snorkeling.
Located just a few kilometers from Townsville, Magnetic Island was the perfect city getaway.
The island offers lots of walking trails, great beaches and a hint of rugged charm.
Here is a look at some of the activities we got to try during our visit to Maggie Island.
We also got to try a Bush Tucker Champagne breakfast which featured a delicious spread of food including pancakes, fresh fruit and grilled meats.
We have some free time this afternoon on the island and we've decided to do the Magnetic Island forts walk, which is supposed to be 4 kilometers. It is a return trip and it should take about an hour and a half. This is supposed to be Northern Australian's largest colony of Koalas in the wild.
We are here in Nelly Bay. We were just enjoying a walk along the waterfront and we noticed that there are some Wallabies over there on the rocks.
We are here at the Horseshoe Ranch on the north end of the island and we are going to be going horseback riding.
Also, what makes this experience unique is that at the end of the horseback riding lesson you get to go swimming with the horses in the ocean. That is what a lot of the riders are doing right now.
If you find yourself on Magnetic Island going horseback riding is a lot of fun.
Today we're going to be doing something really cool. We're going to have authentic Australian animal encounters. We're going to be putting snakes around our necks, hugging koalas and you have never had a snake around your neck so this should be kind of interesting.
Our morning at Bungalow Bay Koala Village was the perfect opportunity to get up close with some of Australia's local wildlife.
First we met various lizards, including the the two-headed lizard which has a tail that resembles the shape of its head.
Next it was time to hold a snake. I was quite nervous about it at first, but the ranger reassured me that this non-venomous python was one of the most well-behaved snakes she had every encountered. That was enough to get me to wrap it around my neck.
And lastly, we had the opportunity to hold cute koalas. These sleepy little creatures spend up to 20 hours a day napping, and the one we met dozed off right after its photo op.
Over the last year we've had the opportunity to try kayaking in both Vietnam and Finland.
When the opportunity came to try it in the Whitsundays with Salty
Having the opportunity to hike up to the top was something we couldn't pass up. This moderately challenging hike was certainly a good workout. We noticed many locals exercising along the way.
There are a number of vantage points on the way up but nothing beats the landscapes from the very top.
So they say you should do at least one thing that scares you every day. For me it is going to be riding the Ocean Jet.
After buckling up we began our Turbo Jet adventure. This 880 horsepower vessel ripped through the water like a speeding race car.

In October 2012 we embarked on a project to timelapse Australia. Nearly 5 months have gone by, with over 300,000 photos taken and 21TB of WD hard drives full.
This is the first of 10 videos in the Timelapse the World - Australia series.

Queensland is the second largest state of Australia, spreading over 1.7 million square kms with a coastline exceeding 13,000 kilometres. Queensland is said to be, "Beautiful one day, Perfect the next". The beaches, including the Great Barrier Reef, are spectacular. So, too are the national parks. The capital city, Brisbane, will feature in a special timelapse video of Australia's capital cities.

Last year in August I traveled up to North Queensland for a quick photo adventure. We stayed at Palm Cove for a week (tough luck!), nearby to awesome places like the Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree rainforest. FNQ has so much to offer! I'm already wanting to go back.
Shot on the Black Magic 4K production camera with Canon lenses, graded in Resolve. Movi M5 used in a few shots. Aerials were hand held and stabilized in post (in 4K with the global shutter, it seems to work really well). I love the look that the Black Magic produces, though unfortunately the camera itself is a little to 'unique' to warrant keeping it. I sold it shortly after filming this, replaced by a GH4.

We stopped in to check out the some of the great natural experiences that can be enjoyed in Tropical North Queensland. We started in Cairns and went out for a trip to the Great Barrier Reef.
We sailed out to the reef to Michaelmas Cay with Passions of paradise. The great thing about this location is that you can snorkel right of the beach and if you are a certified diver you can also scuba dive this location.
We then decided to head north to check out the Daintree Rainforest. To get to the Daintree head towards Port Douglas. On your way to the Daintree be sure to check out Mossman Gorge, if its a hot day its a great place to go for a swim.
When you get to the Daintree there are many great walking tracks. As you adventure out along these tracks there are many different experiences that will enjoy and if you are lucky enough you may even see a Cassowary in the wild.
The Atherton Tablelands offers a range of things to do and see. Some of the places to visit are the crater lakes of lake Eacham and Barrine through to the Curtain Fig a must see. Heading further into the Great Dividing range you visit Mount Mulligan.

We then headed into the Eungella national park to check out some of their rainforest walks. After we explored these magnificent forests we decided to head down to a locals hot spot Finch Hatton Gorge for a nice refreshing swim !

Reef to Rainforest | Far North Queensland
Last year in August I traveled up to North Queensland for a quick photo adventure. We stayed at Palm Cove for a week (tough luck!), nearby to awesome places like the Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree rainforest. FNQ has so much to offer! I'm already wanting to go back. Shot on the Black Magic 4K production camera with Canon lenses, graded in Resolve. Movi M5 used in a few shots. Aerials were hand held and stabilized in post (in 4K with the global shutter, it seems to work really well). I love the look that the Black Magic produces, though unfortunately the camera itself is a little to 'unique' to warrant keeping it. I sold it shortly after filming this, replaced by a GH4. This morning we are visiting the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary here in the Gold Coast and we are going to be having lots of animal encounters. During our visit to Currumbin National Park, we had a chance to get up close and personal with Kangaroos. Spotting animals we had previously never heard of was also part of the program, including the orange tree Kangaroo and one of Australia's most dangerous birds the Cassowary.

Boarding the Derwent Hunter, we went sailing along the Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef located in Queensland, Australia.
It's a beautiful day here in the Whitsunday Islands. After sailing for a while we had the chance to enjoy some beach time with an opportunity to go snorkeling.
Located just a few kilometers from Townsville, Magnetic Island was the perfect city getaway.
The island offers lots of walking trails, great beaches and a hint of rugged charm.
Here is a look at some of the activities we got to try during our visit to Maggie Island.
We also got to try a Bush Tucker Champagne breakfast which featured a delicious spread of food including pancakes, fresh fruit and grilled meats.
We have some free time this afternoon on the island and we've decided to do the Magnetic Island forts walk, which is supposed to be 4 kilometers. It is a return trip and it should take about an hour and a half. This is supposed to be Northern Australian's largest colony of Koalas in the wild.
We are here in Nelly Bay. We were just enjoying a walk along the waterfront and we noticed that there are some Wallabies over there on the rocks.
We are here at the Horseshoe Ranch on the north end of the island and we are going to be going horseback riding.
Also, what makes this experience unique is that at the end of the horseback riding lesson you get to go swimming with the horses in the ocean. That is what a lot of the riders are doing right now.
If you find yourself on Magnetic Island going horseback riding is a lot of fun.
Today we're going to be doing something really cool. We're going to have authentic Australian animal encounters. We're going to be putting snakes around our necks, hugging koalas and you have never had a snake around your neck so this should be kind of interesting.
Our morning at Bungalow Bay Koala Village was the perfect opportunity to get up close with some of Australia's local wildlife.
First we met various lizards, including the the two-headed lizard which has a tail that resembles the shape of its head.
Next it was time to hold a snake. I was quite nervous about it at first, but the ranger reassured me that this non-venomous python was one of the most well-behaved snakes she had every encountered. That was enough to get me to wrap it around my neck.
And lastly, we had the opportunity to hold cute koalas. These sleepy little creatures spend up to 20 hours a day napping, and the one we met dozed off right after its photo op.
Over the last year we've had the opportunity to try kayaking in both Vietnam and Finland.
When the opportunity came to try it in the Whitsundays with Salty
Having the opportunity to hike up to the top was something we couldn't pass up. This moderately challenging hike was certainly a good workout. We noticed many locals exercising along the way.
There are a number of vantage points on the way up but nothing beats the landscapes from the very top.
So they say you should do at least one thing that scares you every day. For me it is going to be riding the Ocean Jet.
After buckling up we began our Turbo Jet adventure. This 880 horsepower vessel ripped through the water like a speeding race car.

In October 2012 we embarked on a project to timelapse Australia. Nearly 5 months have gone by, with over 300,000 photos taken and 21TB of WD hard drives full.
This is the first of 10 videos in the Timelapse the World - Australia series.

Queensland is the second largest state of Australia, spreading over 1.7 million square kms with a coastline exceeding 13,000 kilometres. Queensland is said to be, "Beautiful one day, Perfect the next". The beaches, including the Great Barrier Reef, are spectacular. So, too are the national parks. The capital city, Brisbane, will feature in a special timelapse video of Australia's capital cities.

Last year in August I traveled up to North Queensland for a quick photo adventure. We stayed at Palm Cove for a week (tough luck!), nearby to awesome places like the Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree rainforest. FNQ has so much to offer! I'm already wanting to go back.
Shot on the Black Magic 4K production camera with Canon lenses, graded in Resolve. Movi M5 used in a few shots. Aerials were hand held and stabilized in post (in 4K with the global shutter, it seems to work really well). I love the look that the Black Magic produces, though unfortunately the camera itself is a little to 'unique' to warrant keeping it. I sold it shortly after filming this, replaced by a GH4.

Last year in August I traveled up to North Queensland for a quick photo adventure. We stayed at Palm Cove for a week (tough luck!), nearby to awesome places like the Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree rainforest. FNQ has so much to offer! I'm already wanting to go back.
Shot on the Black Magic 4K production camera with Canon lenses, graded in Resolve. Movi M5 used in a few shots. Aerials were hand held and stabilized in post (in 4K with the global shutter, it seems to work really well). I love the look that the Black Magic produces, though unfortunately the camera itself is a little to 'unique' to warrant keeping it. I sold it shortly after filming this, replaced by a GH4.
