Integrating live music and vocal work into dance, Heaven is a collaboration between rising choreographer Morgan Thorson and musicians Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker of the indie band Low. Heaven considers each of its participants equally in solo, duet and choral arrangements to evoke an emotional and physical ecstasy more commonly associated with religious practice. Thorson visits Seattle after enjoying national acclaim for her last project, Faker, which was seen by audiences at PS 122 (NYC), ICA (Boston) and the Walker Art Center's Momentum Series at The Southern Theater (Minneapolis). Formed in 1993, Low has garnered a worldwide cult following for their minimalist soundscapes and achingly beautiful harmonies.

Al Alvarez
Alfred Alvarez (born 5 August 1929) is an English poet, novelist, essayist and critic who publishes under the name A. Alvarez and Al Alvarez.
Background
Alfred Alvarez was born in London. He was educated at The Hall School in Hampstead, London, and then Oundle School and Corpus Christi College, Oxford, where he took a First in English. After teaching briefly in Oxford and the USA, he became a full-time writer in his late twenties. From 1956 to 1966, he was the poetry editor and critic for The Observer, where he introduced British readers to John Berryman, Robert Lowell, Sylvia Plath, Zbigniew Herbert, and Miroslav Holub.
Alvarez is the author of many non-fiction books. He is best known for his study of suicide, The Savage God, which gained added resonance from his friendship with Plath. He has also written on divorce (Life After Marriage), dreams (Night), and the oil industry (Offshore), as well as his hobbies of poker (The Biggest Game In Town) and mountaineering (Feeding the Rat, a profile of his frequent climbing partner Mo Anthoine). His 1999 autobiography is entitled Where Did It All Go Right?

Heaven
Heaven, the heavens or seven heavens, is a common religious, cosmological, or transcendent place where heavenly beings such as gods, angels, jinn, saints, or venerated ancestors are said to originate, be enthroned, or to live. According to the beliefs of some religions, heavenly beings can descend to earth or incarnate, and earthly beings can ascend to Heaven in the afterlife, or in exceptional cases enter Heaven alive.
Heaven is often described as a "higher place", the holiest place, a Paradise, in contrast to Hell or the Underworld or the "low places", and universally or conditionally accessible by earthly beings according to various standards of divinity, goodness, piety, faith, or other virtues or right beliefs or simply the will of God. Some believe in the possibility of a Heaven on Earth in a World to Come.
Another belief is in an axis mundi or world tree which connects the heavens, the terrestrial world, and the underworld. In Indian religions, Heaven is considered as Svarga loka, and the soul is again subjected to rebirth in different living forms according to its karma. This cycle can be broken after a soul achieves Moksha or Nirvana. Any place of existence, either of humans, souls or deities, outside the tangible world (Heaven, Hell, or other) is referred to as otherworld.

Recorded at Hot Traxx (Garland, Texas) in 1993. Yes, I brought everything into a heavy metal recording studio in the back of an El Camino (thanks to Brian Rogers). Here is the equipment list: - Roland SVC-350 Vocoder - Roland Alpha Juno (bass line) - Sequential Circuits Prophet T-8 (additional bass and solo) - Sequential Circuits Six-Trak (lead) - Sequential Circuits Prophet-600 (lead) - Ensoniq Performance Sampler (ERROR 144 - REBOOT?) - SDF-3 running BSDI BSD/386 - Telebit Trailblazer TB+ plus (calling 'adaptex' over UUCP) - Pascal Blin (Official French Guy) - Drums sampled from Kraftwerk's Computer World record - Vietnamese vocal by Hoang Oanh from Hon Vong Phu The Telebit was sampled live in the studio because I did not have a SCSI interface on the EPS. The song was supposed to be released on an 'Analogue Heaven' compilation that never materialized and sat on DAT until 2004 when I remastered it and added Pascal Blin's vocal to fill in what I felt were empty spots. Pascal did not know what the words meant but was very concerned about pronouncing them correctly.

Meanwhile an insane, bloodthirsty hit man named Versetti, working for a large multinational corporation, will stop at nothing to get it back.

Plot: A struggling architect, being sued for divorce by his wife and struggling with booze and gambling, finds work remodeling a friend's strip club, the Paradise. There he meets a transsexual stripper who is bothered by accurate, but extremely violent visions of future events. The increasingly violent visions start including the architect, who doesn't believe in the prophesy. One who does however is a psychiatrist who is seeing both the stripper and the architect and is sleeping with the ex-wife. He uses the prophecies for his own financial gain. Finally the scenes from the vision move into reality amidst many plot turns.

Integrating live music and vocal work into dance, Heaven is a collaboration between rising choreographer Morgan Thorson and musicians Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker of the indie band Low. Heaven considers each of its participants equally in solo, duet and choral arrangements to evoke an emotional and physical ecstasy more commonly associated with religious practice. Thorson visits Seattle after enjoying national acclaim for her last project, Faker, which was seen by audiences at PS 122 (NYC), ICA (Boston) and the Walker Art Center's Momentum Series at The Southern Theater (Minneapolis). Formed in 1993, Low has garnered a worldwide cult following for their minimalist soundscapes and achingly beautiful harmonies.

The Telebit was sampled live in the studio because I did not have a SCSI interface on the EPS. The song was supposed to be released on an 'Analogue Heaven' compilation that never materialized and sat on DAT until 2004 when I remastered it and added Pascal Blin's vocal to fill in what I felt were empty spots. Pascal did not know what the words meant but was very concerned about pronouncing them correctly.

Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Mani Nasry has the passion to succeed, the curiosity and ingenuity required to lead and collaborate in an industry known for its impact and appeal, and the strength of character and work ethic to immerse himself in finding and telling an unforgettable story.

Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Mani Nasry has the passion to succeed, the curiosity and ingenuity required to lead and collaborate in an industry known for its impact and appeal, and the strength of character and work ethic to immerse himself in finding and telling an unforgettable story.

Israel was born in Haifa, Israel. He studied painting for five years at the Anvi Institute Tel Aviv with M. Zisselmann. Israel later studied two years with Herold Rubin. He is a member of the Artist Associations of Tel Aviv and Berlin.
In 1988, Israel moved to Berlin where he lived for twenty years. In his last seven years in East Berlin, he re-painted previous Art works. It was a transformational experience painting with sacred geometry. Most of the paintings have not yet been shown in Europe and now are with Israel in Mt. Shasta, CA. In that twenty year period in Berlin, he also went through initiation work with the frequencies of Brilliance up to Level 16 and Manna Teachers. For Israel, the healing work, as well as his paintings, are to transform and change old structure and patterns as a way to the heart and love.
Israel brings with him the experience of meeting wonderful people and receiving energies in workshops and developing centers in Israel, Germany, Netherland , Belgium, California, Minnesota, Argentina, Brazil and now in Mt Shasta and Oregon.

Carlos began his career in the arts as a young man working as an actor and model in California, New York and Europe. Carlos has been featured in the magazines GQ, and In Style as well as played a role in the movie Graduation Day.
Working as a model Carlos was used to having his photograph taken, but his talent and vision soon brought him on the other side of the camera. Andy Worhal and his publication Interview Magazine gave Carlos his first big break as a photographer. Since then he has worked for Rolling Stone, Demoiselle, In Style, Newsweek, National Geographic, Young Miss (YM) and many other American and European publications.
As a professional photographer, Carlos started Prima Modeling Agency in Los Angeles and personally helped start the careers of Hilary Swank (1999 Best Actress), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil and The Story of Joan of Arc), and Cameron Diaz (current star of Charlie’s Angels) as well as photographed countless celebrities such as Matthew Perry, Johnny Depp, Luke Perry, Esai Morales, Sherilyn Fenn, Will Smith, Los Lobos, Irene Bedard and Steve Reevis to list a few.
Carlos’ success in modeling and photography allowed him to focus his attention on yet another artistic media... music. Music has always been Carlos’s true love, “it is the language that breaks all barriers and expresses the joy, pain and sincerity of the artist’s soul.”
MUSIC: BIO
Carlos started writing music with his friend Greg Kuhen in 1987. The collaboration became known as Blue Sofa. In 1990, Carlos, along with bassist Michael Rennenger and guitarist Rick Batson, started the band Toro. Breaking away from Toro in 1992, he started the group Rain with Dug Mug on bass and percussionist Jared Rains.
Carlos started his solo recording career in 1993, and he made his first CD in 1996. “I sang on the beach and enjoyed playing my music at Pow-Wows. My first air play was on Native Radio”
In 1999, Carlos recorded the song, My Brother, for the soundtrack to the award winning film, Naturally Native. The album went on to win two Native American Music Awards [ NAMMY’s ]. In 2000, Carlos’ CD Wiseman was nominated for Best Independent Recording by the NAMMY’s. In that same year, he also released his debut flute CD, Sunrise, the sister recording to WiseMan. Also in 2000, Carlos’ flute song Passion was featured on Keith Secola’s sound track to the movie Homeland. Also featured on the album was the Indigo Girls, and the sound track went on to win yet another NAMMY award. In 2003, Carlos’ flute CD, Baby Blue, was nominated for Best Independent Recording of the year by the NAMMY’s.
In 2005, Carlos released For the People, a mixture of Song and Flute. The CD debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s New Age charts and stayed there for over three months. For the People went on to be nominated for Native American Recording of the year.

Carlos got his start by being a model working in Milan, Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. His image created a new look in the industry, athletic, strong jawed and flat toped. He worked for some of the most creative photographers, Fabrizio Gianni was one of the photographers who took an interest in Carlos and his interest in photography. Fabrizio of Good Bad and Ugly fame was one of the most inventive photographers in Milan, copied around the world by photographers like Bruce Weber who brought the style to America.
Working as a model and Assistant for Fabrizio, Carlos developed his style. With in three months of testing his Model friends Carlos had his first job for Andy Warhol and Interview magazine. Carlos befriended Andy at the fashion shows and after parties he was the first one he showed his first black and white shots to in Milan. “Carlos, when you get to New York I have work for you” Andy Warhol.
Carlos was an artist in the true sense of the word with the industry changed by his influence. He returned the help that Andy Warhal gave him by giving the first jobs to other artist that millions see on the big screen today.

As a professional photographer, Carlos started Prima Modeling Agency in Los Angeles and personally helped start the careers of Hilary Swank (1999 Best Actress), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil and The Story of Joan of Arc), and Cameron Diaz (current star of Charlie’s Angels) as well as photographed countless celebrities such as Matthew Perry, Johnny Depp, Luke Perry, Esai Morales, Sherilyn Fenn, Will Smith, Los Lobos, Irene Bedard and Steve Reevis to list a few.
Carlos’ success in modeling and photography allowed him to focus his attention on yet another artistic media... music. Music has always been Carlos’s true love, “it is the language that breaks all barriers and expresses the joy, pain and sincerity of the artist’s soul.”
MUSIC: BIO
Carlos started writing music with his friend Greg Kuhen in 1987. The collaboration became known as Blue Sofa. In 1990, Carlos, along with bassist Michael Rennenger and guitarist Rick Batson, started the band Toro. Breaking away from Toro in 1992, he started the group Rain with Dug Mug on bass and percussionist Jared Rains.
Carlos started his solo recording career in 1993, and he made his first CD in 1996. “I sang on the beach and enjoyed playing my music at Pow-Wows. My first air play was on Native Radio”
In 1999, Carlos recorded the song, My Brother, for the soundtrack to the award winning film, Naturally Native. The album went on to win two Native American Music Awards [ NAMMY’s ]. In 2000, Carlos’ CD Wiseman was nominated for Best Independent Recording by the NAMMY’s. In that same year, he also released his debut flute CD, Sunrise, the sister recording to WiseMan. Also in 2000, Carlos’ flute song Passion was featured on Keith Secola’s sound track to the movie Homeland. Also featured on the album was the Indigo Girls, and the sound track went on to win yet another NAMMY award. In 2003, Carlos’ flute CD, Baby Blue, was nominated for Best Independent Recording of the year by the NAMMY’s.
In 2005, Carlos released For the People, a mixture of Song and Flute. The CD debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s New Age charts and stayed there for over three months. For the People went on to be nominated for Native American Recording of the year.
With two New CDs: PINK BLISS (Flute) and FREEDOM (Song-Guitar-Flute) the texture between Sight and Sound become One, in the Twenty One Supporting Video's. In the RED ROAD Video, Staring Rick Mora. Carlos Shows off all his Talents. A Must See!

PHOTOGRAPHY: BIO
Carlos got his start by being a model working in Milan, Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. His image created a new look in the industry, athletic, strong jawed and flat toped. He worked for some of the most creative photographers, Fabrizio Gianni was one of the photographers who took an interest in Carlos and his interest in photography. Fabrizio of Good Bad and Ugly fame was one of the most inventive photographers in Milan, copied around the world by photographers like Bruce Weber who brought the style to America.
Working as a model and Assistant for Fabrizio, Carlos developed his style. With in three months of testing his Model friends Carlos had his first job for Andy Warhol and Interview magazine. Carlos befriended Andy at the fashion shows and after parties he was the first one he showed his first black and white shots to in Milan. “Carlos, when you get to New York I have work for you” Andy Warhol.
Carlos was an artist in the true sense of the word with the industry changed by his influence. He returned the help that Andy Warhal gave him by giving the first jobs to other artist that millions see on the big screen today.

A few weeks back, Dion Agius and crew embarked on a journey to an unknown land. A journey for waves. A journey that would bring Dion to unleash on the world's best man made wave. A studio for surfing. Smack in the middle of a desert mountain range in a foreign land.
There was a concept. A concept involving 10 Russian models, a Lamborghini, and Dion boosting virtually every air in the book, plus a couple new ones. Electric blue water contrasting against wild mountainous backdrops.

A few weeks back, Dion Agius and crew embarked on a journey to an unknown land. A journey for waves. A journey that would bring Dion to unleash on the world's best man made wave. A studio for surfing. Smack in the middle of a desert mountain range in a foreign land.
There was a concept. A concept involving 10 Russian models, a Lamborghini, and Dion boosting virtually every air in the book, plus a couple new ones. Electric blue water contrasting against wild mountainous backdrops.
A story was captured. Captured through the lenses of Joe G, DJ Struntz, Beren Hall, and Grady Archbold. Motion & Still. Film & HD. The story will be told through the pages of our global media partners and through this short film directed by Joe G.
