Lonesome is a 1928 Part-talkie film by Hungarian-born American director Paul Fejös. It was produced and distributed by Universal Pictures. In 2010, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". The film was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on August 28, 2012 as part of The Criterion Collection.
It was remade in 1935 as a comedy called The Affair of Susan.
In New York, Mary is a telephone operator who lives alone and is lonely. Jim is a factory worker who lives alone and is lonely. Each decides to go to the beach (presumably Coney Island) and both are captivated with each other, eventually realizing, moreover, that they really do like each other. Having gone from loneliness to finding love, enjoying the company of each other and having fun, they are – due to exigent circumstances and hundreds of visitors to the beach that day – both separated from the other. Only knowing each other's first name, and having only a small photo of each other, Jim and Mary are desperate to find each other. Will these two lonesome individuals who have discovered their love for each other...lose it all that same day?
ANTI- is a USA record label founded in 1999 as a sister label of Epitaph.
While Epitaph's focus has shifted over the last decade from mostly punk rock, nowadays ANTI- has a more diverse roster, including: country (Merle Haggard), hip hop (Sage Francis, The Coup), reggae (Michael Franti), soul (Bettye LaVette), indie folk (The Swell Season, Saintseneca), rap rock (One Day as a Lion), indie rock (Islands) and Tom Waits.
Headed by Andy Kaulkin, ANTI- first gained attention by releasing Tom Waits' Grammy award winning Mule Variations in 1999. Along with Waits, several veteran recording artists such as rhythm and blues singers Solomon Burke, Bettye LaVette and Marianne Faithfull have signed onto ANTI- after leaving other major labels.
Hiram King "Hank" Williams, (/hæŋk wɪljəmz /; September 17, 1923 – January 1, 1953) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. Regarded as one of the most significant and influential American singers and songwriters of the 20th century, Williams recorded 35 singles (five released posthumously) that would place in the Top 10 of the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart, including 11 that ranked number one.
Born in Mount Olive, Butler County, Alabama, Williams moved to Georgiana, where he met Rufus Payne, a black street performer who gave him guitar lessons in exchange for meals or money. Payne had a major influence on Williams' later musical style, along with Roy Acuff and Ernest Tubb. During this time, Williams informally changed his name to Hank, believing it to be a better name for country music. He moved to Montgomery and his music career began there in 1937, when WSFA radio station producers hired him to perform and host a 15-minute program. He formed as backup the Drifting Cowboys band, which was managed by his mother, and dropped out of school to devote his time to his career.

One of my favourite Hank Williams songs. Hank recorded this track on 30 August 1949 in Ohio. With him were ace studio musicians: Zeke Turner (electric guitar), Louis Innes (rhythm guitar), Jerry Byrd (steel guitar), Ernie Newton (bass), and Tommy Jackson (fiddle). They were not part of the Drifting Cowboys who toured with Hank at that time (although a couple did do stints with them). The Drifting Cowboys did record with Hank on many other sessions. According to Colin Escott who wrote a biography on Hank "Here is the chill of the void that would become one of the hallmarks of Hank's writing. It is the most oft cited example of Hank Williams the hillbilly poet, but its poetic form comes from the fact that it was originally intended to be spoken, not sung. Acuff-Rose staff writer Vic McAlpi...

Well I'm here, but I don't wanta stay
Cause you're not around
And I'm feeling lonely
Same old episode for me, heading for catastrophy
And I can see that its
Association with the past
So think about it
It's like a tie that did not last
Don't move so fast
Don't run
Cause you might find out, find out I'm the one
And I still feel lonesome
Nothing's changed, it just gets rearranged when
You come around, so now what's your story
You were never there for me
So I'm going out to see
Cause I can see that it's...
Association with the past
So think about it
It's like a tie that did not last
Don't move so fast
Don't run
Cause you might find out, find out I'm the one
And I still feel lonesome
Now you're here, but I don't wanta stay
Cause you weren't around, now you say you're sorry
And nothing's changed, it's just been rearranged
