Anthony Banks, known simply as Ant Banks, is a producer and rapper from Oakland, California.
As a child he took part in a band at school and from there learned to play a variety of instruments along the way. At school he only learned Classical, but at home he taught himself to play Funk related music like Parliament, Funkadelic and The Gap Band on his Casio keyboard. Interested in making music, he would create beats and record his own versions for fun.
Bohemia After Dark is a channel for music lovers that remember the alternative, grunge and hip hop music from the late 80’s and early 90’s. Music featured on BVMTV during that time typically was not seen anywhere else. Bohemia Afterdark launched on TVs in 1982 and operated in Phoenix, AZ, but early history is unknown until 1990 when they moved to Portland, Oregon. In 1992 they began airing on KPDX Portland and then they move to KWBP in 1994. In 1995 they began airing on 22 Network One affiliates. In 1997 Network One shut down and the service moved to KOIN and in 2001, the service moved back to Phoenix, airing on KASW, then in 2002, moved to KPHO-TV. In 2003 they got their own station, KPHE-LP, at the time broadcasting on channel 19 in Mesa, Arizona, and changed their name to Bohemia Visual Music. KPHE moved to channel 44 in Phoenix in 2005.[2] Bohemia Visual Music changed their name to 24-7 Videos for a few months from mid-2005 to early-2006, then reverted to Bohemia Visual Music.

Anthony Banks
Ant Banks is a rapper and producer for various West Coast hip hop artists, particularly in the Bay Area. His collaboration with Too Short led him to begin producing records of his own.
He has produced songs for MC Ren among others. In 1993, he engaged in a beef with Oakland rapper Pooh-Man. Produced songs for Dangerous Crew, The.
In 1999 Banks launched his project group T.W.D.Y. (The Whole Damn Yay). Rappin' 4-Tay and Captain Save 'Em were the original members. Their debut album Derty Werk. The album contains the single Player's Holiday, featuring Mac Mall. The single received a lot of radio play. In 2000, T.W.D.Y. released the album entitled Lead The Way; Ant Banks and Captain Save 'Em remained while Dollar Will replaced 4-Tay.
He is also known as "The Big Badass" and released an Album of that name in 1994.

Anthony Banks, known simply as Ant Banks, is a producer and rapper from Oakland, California.
Biography
“The Big Badass” Ant Banks is a producer/artist known for creating heavy, low-end, funky bass lines, utilizing savvy recording techniques, concocting creative artist collaborations, and having his own distinct original sound. Interested in making music from an early age, the Oakland, CA native became involved with his school bands, learning to play a variety of instruments; which provided him with the necessary tools to become skilled at playing Funk-related music like Parliament, Funkadelic, and The Gap Band. Diligently honing his craft, he would create beats and record his own versions of those classics for fun, serving as a precursor to becoming one of the music industry’s most sought after producers to work with. Ant Banks’ pioneering journey began in the mid-1980s as he began christening a slew of independent projects with the birth of what has become known as the "Oaktown Funk". His first taste of success came when he began working with friend and Oakland rap sensation M.C.ANT in 1985. The two recorded numerous 4-track cassette classics like "Feel the Bass" and "M.C. Ant & Ant Banks" along with countless others. In 1988, the early collaborators proceeded to release their first album entitled M.C. Ant The Great, with joint collaborative efforts by DJ Terry T. Distributing the tapes at their high school out of the trunk of their cars, the album went on to sell more than 60,000 units independently, paving the way for Ant Banks to expand his early production empire.

Bohemia After Dark
Bohemia After Dark is an album by jazz drummer Kenny Clarke, featuring the earliest recordings by Cannonball Adderley and Nat Adderley, produced for the Savoy label. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states "Although drummer Kenny Clarke is the nominal leader and the other sidemen include trumpeter Donald Byrd, Jerome Richardson on tenor and flute, pianist Horace Silver and bassist Paul Chambers, the impressive performance by the young Adderleys makes this a historic session that has often been reissued under Cannonball's name".

Bohemia Afterdark launched on TVs in 1982 and operated in Phoenix, AZ, but early history is unknown until 1990 when they moved to Portland, Oregon. In 1992 they began airing on KPDX Portland and then they move to KWBP in 1994. In 1995 they began airing on 22 Network One affiliates. In 1997 Network One shut down and the service moved to KOIN and in 2001, the service moved back to Phoenix, airing on KASW, then in 2002, moved to KPHO-TV. In 2003 they got their own station, KPHE-LP, at the time broadcasting on channel 19 in Mesa, Arizona, and changed their name to Bohemia Visual Music. KPHE moved to channel 44 in Phoenix in 2005.[2] Bohemia Visual Music changed their name to 24-7 Videos for a few months from mid-2005 to early-2006, then reverted to Bohemia Visual Music.

This video is about Paro To Punaka - training After our first night in Bhutan we started our journey East towards Bumthang and the starting venue for the Tour Of The Dragon. We will take 3 days to drive over at leisure allowing James time to get some training on some of the passes and acclimatise as well as get an idea of the race route. Today we crossed over what will be the last pass on race day, the ‘Docha La’ at 3150 metres high and what will be a 2000m ascent before dropping down to the capital and the finish line. James got to enjoy the downhill and contend with the traffic and road works as Bhutan develops its first 2 lane road, and is the busiest section of road in the country. In 1992 they began airing on KPDX Portland and then they move to KWBP in 1994. In 1995 they began airing on 22 Network One affiliates. In 1997 Network One shut down and the service moved to KOIN and in 2001, the service moved back to Phoenix, airing on KASW, then in 2002, moved to KPHO-TV. In 2003 they got their own station, KPHE-LP, at the time broadcasting on channel 19 in Mesa, Arizona, and changed their name to Bohemia Visual Music. KPHE moved to channel 44 in Phoenix in 2005.[2] Bohemia Visual Music changed their name to 24-7 Videos for a few months from mid-2005 to early-2006, then reverted to Bohemia Visual Music.

After our first night in Bhutan we started our journey East towards Bumthang and the starting venue for the Tour Of The Dragon. We will take 3 days to drive over at leisure allowing James time to get some training on some of the passes and acclimatise as well as get an idea of the race route. Today we crossed over what will be the last pass on race day, the ‘Docha La’ at 3150 metres high and what will be a 2000m ascent before dropping down to the capital and the finish line. James got to enjoy the downhill and contend with the traffic and road works as Bhutan develops its first 2 lane road, and is the busiest section of road in the country. The route allowed Ant to get a little filming to share the experience and for the promotional work he is doing here, before we dropped down to Punaka valley, one of the most beautiful areas of Bhutan. After lunch the team took time out to visit Punaka Dzong - one of the most stunning in Bhutan set in-between the confluence of the two rivers the Mo chuu and Po Chuu.
This is also the area where Ant visits regularly to work with the local staff. He escorted the team to the new luxury lodge due for completion next year set on the river banks upstream of Punaka. This will be the first sustainable destination aimed at offering adventure with rafting, kayaking, biking and trekking. Ant is currently sourcing all of the kit for the Bhutanese and back at Live The Adventure in the UK there are 12 kayaks, 12 bikes, 3 rafts and all of the associated kit ready to ship in a container next month to arrive this Autumn. In November, Ant returns to Bhutan to help compile the kit and train more local staff, offering western certification as guides, ready for the following season and the lodge opening.
A surprise end to the day was later that evening when Ant was contacted by the ‘Bhutan Olympic Committee’ who are hosting the race to arrange for him to have an audience with HRH Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wankgchuk on Thursday evening to discuss filming the race.

The Picture a Poverty Free City events were illustrated live, producing powerful images which were captured on film.

Urban youth make up a huge proportion of city populations. Anthony Phillips was a founding member of Genesis at Charterhouse School with Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford. His musical influence was felt strongly on the albums "From Genesis to Revelation" and "Trespass" and lingered after his departure from the group in 1970. As a solo artist his albums such as "Geese and the Ghost", "Wise After the Event", "Sides" and "1984" all earned him a loyal following. In part one of this two part Cherry Red TV interview, possibly one of the most in depth he has done, he discusses his time with Genesis and his long solo career as a recording artist and composer.
