Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), better known by his stage names The Notorious B.I.G, Biggie, or Biggie Smalls, was an American rapper. Murdered at age 24, Wallace is consistently ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.
Wallace was raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. When he released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he became a central figure in the East Coast hip hop scene and increased New York's visibility in the genre at a time when West Coast hip hop was dominant in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the growing East Coast–West Coast hip hop feud.
On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc album Life After Death, released 16 days later, rose to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000, one of the few hip hop albums to receive this certification. Wallace was noted for his "loose, easy flow", dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Two more albums have been released since his death. He has certified sales of 17 million units in the United States.
French house is a style of house music originally produced by French artists, a popular strand of the late 1990s and 2000s European dance music scene and a form of Euro disco. The genre has also been referred to as "French touch", "filter house" and "tekfunk" over the years. The defining characteristics of the sound are heavy reliance on filter and phaser effects both on and alongside samples from late 1970s and early 1980s American or European disco tracks (or original hooks strongly inspired by such samples), causing thicker harmonic foundations than the genre's descendants. Most tracks in this vein feature steady 4/4 beats with a tempo range of 110–130 beats per minute.
Celebrated and successful purveyors of this music include Daft Punk,Cassius, The Supermen Lovers, Modjo, Etienne de Crécy, Kavinsky and Justice.
French house is greatly influenced by the lineage of American dance music from the emergence of disco onwards, maintaining a distinct connection to Euro disco and the short lived space disco music style. Space disco was very popular in France, with artists like Cerrone, Space and Sheila B. Devotion during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Additional influences came from P-Funk, especially the George Clinton and Bootsy Collins hits of that era. Due to originating from the same foreign market, P-Funk was played alongside disco in many French discothèques, especially after the Disco Demolition Night took place in the United States. The Jacking aspect of Chicago house was also picked up on as a theme to incorporate (with "jack house" becoming a short-lived descriptive term for the sound in the UK).

It was 30 years ago today. The late Don Wallace, W6AM, was interviewed in 1984 by Wayne Overbeck, N6NB, for the PBS series, "Radio Collector." The interview takes place at Radio Ranch in Palos Verdes, CA, and shows Don's shack and antenna farm. The property is likely a condo farm today. The California Historical Radio Society, CHRS, is presenting this uncut interview. We are the FCC-appointed trustees of the station of the late Jim Maxwell, W6CF.
The Wallace Wildlife Show ran from 1965 to 1989 (23 years). It was one of the early outdoor shows of only a few that ran nationwide. It was syndicated in five states throughout the Southwest. "It was the hardest job I ever loved." Honestly, I worked at it "24/7." I would film, edit, produce, sell, host, syndicate, bill and collect. I got up mornings and said to my wife, "Hand me my rod & reel honey, I gotta go to work again." This was my opening line when I gave speeches to civic clubs. Always got a laugh. I'll leave you with this thought: "When the one great scorer comes to mark against your name, he'll write not that you won or lost, but how you played the game." GOOD LUCK, GOOD HUNTING, AND GOOD FISHING. "The only thing I ever claimed to be, was a guy who liked to fish." ...

Celebrated author Don Wallace reads from and discusses his new book, The French House: An American Family, a Ruined Maison, and the Village That Restored Them All Don Wallace and his family leaped at the chance to buy a French farmhouse on a remote island. But when they arrived, they discovered they the house was in ruin, and quickly their countryside idyll took a troubling turn. They struggled with not only a foreign country, but a crumbling abode, cranky neighbors, and a failing stock market. Despite it all, the French house eventually turned out to be a true home, and the Wallaces, undaunted by the odds came to love it and the village around them. kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, on Sunday deflected questions about Attorney General Jeff Sessions by slamming the media over the investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election. During an interview on Fox News, host Chris Wallace became impatient when Conway tried to redirect every question he asked, from Obamacare to Russia. “Kellyanne, you’ve got to allow me to ask some questions,” the Fox host told her as she continued to talk. “This week the president continued to attack his attorney general… Does the president want Jeff Sessions to continue as attorney general or — as has been suggested — is he considering him moving over to replace General Kelly as the secretary of homeland security?” “That’s a personnel question that only the president can an...

Morgan Freeman is saying stop pointing out our differences. "I won't call you a white man... don't call me a black man... you're mike and I'm morgan..." Now as a white man, I would never suggest getting rid of black history month. It's not my place and I personally don't have a problem with it. I do think he brings up an interesting point though. Instead of highlighting our differences by promoting a singular pride in race, creed, nationality or faith, let's promote something we can all celebrate... humankind. http://www.youtube.com/conspiratruth http://www.facebook.com/conspiratruth

He stuck that knife right into her gut
I want to tell you she was lucky with what she got
But what she got was not enough
She played around
Don't play around
I tried to tell her he was not so dumb
I tried to warn her there was something wrong
She wouldn't listen, she continued on
She played around
If you give your love to someone and someone treats you bad
If you give your love to someone and someone makes you mad
If you give your love to someone it can be so sad
Don't play around
Don't play around
He left her dying in the pool of blood
And she was crying oh my god oh my god
But she was no good, she was no good
She played around
Don't play around
She'd be laughing and dancing the night away
She'd be laughing and dancing with every man that came away
But as her life's blood slipped away
I thought I heard her say
Don't play around
