The Sava (Slovene pronunciation: [ˈsàːʋa],Serbo-Croatian: [sǎːʋa],Serbian Cyrillic: Сава) is a river in Central Europe, a right side tributary of the Danube. It flows through Slovenia, Croatia, along the northern border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through Serbia, discharging into the Danube in Belgrade. Its central part is a natural border of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. The Sava forms the northern border of the Balkan Peninsula, and southern edge of the Pannonian Plain.
The Sava is 990 kilometres (615 miles) long, including the 45-kilometre (28 mi) Sava Dolinka headwater rising in Zelenci, Slovenia. It is the greatest tributary of the Danube by volume of water, and second-largest after Tisza in terms of catchment area (97,713 square kilometres (37,727 square miles)) and length. It drains a significant portion of the Dinaric Alps region, through the major tributaries of Drina, Bosna, Kupa, Una, Vrbas, Lonja, Kolubara, Bosut and Krka. The Sava is one of the longest rivers in Europe and among a handful of European rivers of that length that do not drain directly into a sea.

DJ Sava
Constantin Sava (born 3 April 1973 in Buzău), known simply as DJ Sava, is a Romanian electronic musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He started mixing in the early 1990s and eventually became the official resident DJ of a local club called "No Limit". Ten years later, DJ Sava went on a small promotional tour of the Romanian seaside clubs; in 2005 he signed a management contract with a small record label, which promoted his first two singles: "Gone Away" and "Remember". In 2007, DJ Sava came to prominence following his debut album Love Drops, which was a commercial success in Romania, spawning two successful singles: "Sunshine" and "The Reason".
Biography
1973–2004: Early life
Constantin Sava was born 3 April 1973 in Buzău,Romania and he began showing interest in music as a child. He started DJing professionally in the early 1990s and eventually worked as a resident DJ for ten years in a local club called No Limit; subsequently Sava went on a small promotional tour of Romanian seaside clubs. His musical activity intensified between 2000 and 2004, when he was given the opportunity to mix music in one of largest clubs in Costineşti.

Zivot ostavljam u tekstu da bih skolovao decu
zato sto ne zelim da ih vidim na mom mestu
prenosim iskustva, pametujem brdo puta
zato sto se vodi bitka oko ljudskih dusa
obrazujem, edukujem, ucim i vaspitavam
svaku svoju lekciju im detaljno prepricavam
govorim da bubaju i pamte svako gradivo
da ne bi radili sve ono sto sam i ja radio
savetujem, pricam, upozoravam i pretim
zato sto ce mladost uzalud da im proleti
vidim sta ih ceka, kraj zivota pre pocetka
vec se cuje povorka i porodicna dreka
smrt ne stedi nikoga, od pravednih do nitkova
uzela je cak i naseg Gospoda Isusa
smrt se smeje svakom, bliza nam je svakim dahom
zato kad god mogu vreme provodim sa majkom
slusam svaki savet, znanje upijam u pamet
kada umrem ostavicu pesme svima u amanet
dacu informacije o stanju nase nacije
iznecu probleme i ozbiljnost situacije
recicu zbog cega smo na dnu kanalizacije
pricacu o strasnoj propasti civilizacije
naslikacu tekstom vizuelne ilustracije
i pisacu do poslednjeg atoma inspiracije
nadahnut od Boga mudrovacu sve do groba
i prosipacu znanje dok me zemlja ne pokopa
dacu dah zivota, izvadicu trun iz oka
svakom kome budem dopreo do bubnih opna
bodricu obolele da svoju bolest pobede
molicu za gresnike da svoj karakter promene
opominjacu popove da spale lazne bogove
zato sto je mnogo osoba pod vlascu sotone

kako je prolazilo vreme, sve je teze bilo breme
odlucio da krenem putem kojim moje srce krene
spremao se polako i cekao svoje vreme
onda kad je doslo, ja ga pustio da krene...
ovo sto sad pricam, zelim da se slusa, da se pamti
i da nove generacije kroz zivot prati...
da nauce na greskama i da ih ne ponavljaju
zato sto ne zelim da ih gledam kako stradaju
jer mnogi mladi ljudi na mardelju robijaju
nisu ucili u skoli, poceli da se drogiraju
ne znaju da zarade, vec da otimaju
sve je vise mladih koji valjaju po kraju
prosao sam dosta, mogao sam da budem koman
imam zivotnu pricu tesku kao dramski roman
ne jurim za parama i ne treba mi slava
zato sto je popularnost kurva koja vara
nisam vise pohlepan, odredio sam granice
veruj dosta vredim, ne pricam ti za novcanice
ne srljam kroz zivot, hodam korak po korak
a nekada sam bio veoma brzoplet momak....

VISITING BELGRADE, SERBIA
In this video I'm visiting Belgrade Serbia city. Oh how it feels good to be back in Belgrade. Last time I was in Belgrade Serbia was last year when I visited with my friend Gautier. This time, I was invited by the tourism board to take part in a trip which would explore lots of what Serbia had to offer - naturally I said sure and glad I did. This is just my first afternoon and evening but can give you an idea of things to do in Belgrade Serbia. I'm a fan of visting Belgrade as it's busy, fun, affordable and has good food / fast internet. In this episode we take you to the capital of Serbia, Belgrade! David’s first stop is Kalemagdan Fortress which consist of the old citadel and Kalemegdan Park on the confluence of the Danube River and the Sava River. The meeting of the Sava river into the Danube is one of the most beautiful natural lookouts in the capital.
The location of the fortress is right next to old Belgrade of Stari Grad. Knez Mihailova Street is the main pedestrian street in the city center.
Next up we visit Ada Lake, a river island that has been turned into a peninsula. During the summer months, Belgradian’s come to relax at the beach at Ada.
Now we head to the Church of Saint Sava during Easter service. The Church of Saint Sava is a Serbian Orthodox church located on the Vracar plateau in Belgrade. When the church is completed it will be the second largest Orthodox church in the world after the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.
The next location we visit is Tasmajdan Park, a public park in the surrounding urban neighborhood of central Belgrade. The park was bombed by NATO in 1999. There are two churches, St. Mark’s Church “Serbian Orthodox” and a Russian Orthodox Church.
Now we head out to try Burek a Balkan staple food! Burek is a dough filled with either cheese, spinach, or meat. David tries both a cheese and a spinach and cheese.
Republic Square is considered to be the heart of Belgrade! After we head to Skadarlija, the bohemain area of Belgrade. This is a great restaurant street and the perfect place to try Rakia!
Bucko, is a famous pizza place in Belgrade. Our friend Ivan from Belgrade VIP thinks this is a must try and we do too!
Now off to Zemun, it was once a separate town from Belgrade. It’s located directly across the river Sava. It’s a beautiful place to relax and enjoy its romantic architecture!
So that was David’s list of top things to see and do in Belgrade. Definitely a must visit capital when you visit the Balkans.

In its vicinity are some of Belgrade’s most recognizable buildings, including:
The House of the National Assembly of Serbia.

Between National Assembly and Terazije is one of the central squares in downtown, the Nikola Pasic Square.
Prince Michael Street, the main pedestrian and shopping zone and the oldest and most valuable landmarks of the city, connects Terazije, Republic Square and the Fortress.
The Kalemegdan Fortress used to be an important military fortification and now serves as the central park of Belgrade.
Within the fortress is located, the Statue of Victor, one of the symbols of the town.
It offers beautiful sunsets and views.
Belgrade has many important churches, such as:
The Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox church in Serbia, and one of the biggest Orthodox churches in the whole world.
Belgrade Cathedral, a Serbian Orthodox Christian church dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel.
St Mark’s Church, a Serbian Orthodox basilica, one of the largest religious buildings in the country.
Belgrade is also the capital of Serbian culture with many great museums and galleries, like:
The Museum of the History of Yugoslavia and Tito’s Mausoleum.
And the Nikola Tesla Museum, an exhibition dedicated to the great inventor whom Serbs revere.
Worth seeing is also the Palace of Serbia, a government building located in the New Belgrade municipality.
Near by, along the river, is a long promenade with many floating restaurants serving local seafood.
There are approximately one-thousand sports facilities in metropolis, many of which are capable of serving all levels of sporting events.
The city is home to Serbia’s two biggest and most successful football clubs, Red Star and Partizan Belgrade.
A historical area, that anyone visiting the city should aim to see, with narrow churches, houses and streets is the Zemun.
The Millennium Tower, located at the top of the hill in Zemun, was built on the site of medieval fortress and provides visitors with the beautiful view of Belgrade and river.

In this video I'm visiting Belgrade Serbia city. Oh how it feels good to be back in Belgrade. Last time I was in Belgrade Serbia was last year when I visited with my friend Gautier. This time, I was invited by the tourism board to take part in a trip which would explore lots of what Serbia had to offer - naturally I said sure and glad I did. This is just my first afternoon and evening but can give you an idea of things to do in Belgrade Serbia.
I'm a fan of visting Belgrade as it's busy, fun, affordable and has good food / fast internet. It's one of my favourite cities in the Balkans or anywhere and considering it as a possible business base a few months a year.
A brief traveler's guide to Visiting Belgrade Serbia
Does your European itinerary have you passing through Belgrade this summer? There are a number of outstanding attractions, amazing restaurants, and killer nightlife spots that be found within Serbia's capital, so don't be in a rush to pass through. Here's what you can expect to find in this Balkan hotspot...
Experience this city's ancient and medieval history
In order to get the complete story of Belgrade Serbia city, a visit to Belgrade Fortress is is practically mandatory. For much of its history, the lion's share of its population laid within the protection that its walls afforded. As Belgrade was located at the intersection point of a variety of different empires and kingdoms over the centuries, they needed all the protection they could get, as this fortification was the target of countless assaults throughout history. Starting with the Huns and the Goths, and ending with the Ottomans, the park that residents flock to whenever the weather cooperates is called Kalemegdan Park, which translates to battlefield fortress … a fitting name for such a coveted corner of the Balkans.
Learn about one of the greatest inventors in history
These days, the name Tesla is well known throughout the world, as it has been appropriated by entrepreneur Elon Musk as the name of his fleet of electrically powered luxury vehicles. Its a flattering homage to one of history's greatest inventors and innovators, whose greatest contribution to the world was the creation of the alternating current, which made the widespread electrification of the world possible. This achievement, and many others is cataloged in the Nikola Tesla Museum, which contains over 160,000 documents and records relating to his life's work.
Be humbled by one of the most massive cathedrals on the planet
After the fall of Rome in the 5th century, Serbia was situated at the western edge of the rapidly ascending Byzantine Empire. While Roman Catholicism dominated the religious life of the Western Roman Empire, the Byzantines created the Orthodox Church in the 11th century as a result of a difference of opinion with Rome over core precepts of how the faith was to be practiced. After ridding themselves of Ottoman rule following the First World War, plans for the construction of the Church of Saint Sava were drawn up, with construction beginning in 1935. While the cathedral that honors the man that led a rebellion against Ottoman rule in the 16th century is still not 100% complete after 80 years of building, the massive domes and interior arches of one of the biggest Christian churches in the world still make it well worth a visit.
Beat the mid-summer heat at Ada Ciganlija
Summers in Eastern Europe can get fiendishly hot at times, which might be cause for concern when visiting Belgrade, given its location inland. Following the locals to Ada Ciganlija will alleviate these worries though, as this river island turned peninsula is home to beaches and a shallow lake that reaches 24 degrees Celsius in August. In addition to swimming facilities and restaurants, grounds for a variety of other sports and recreational activities are also available. From basketball to chess (the locals are wizards at this game, so look out), it won't be hard to find a way to make the best of a glorious summer day in Belgrade.
