Rotary International
Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated human rights purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a secular organization open to all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, or political preference. There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide. 1.2 million individuals called Rotarians have joined these clubs.
Rotarians usually gather weekly for breakfast, lunch, or dinner to fulfill their first guiding principle to develop friendships as an opportunity for service. "It is the duty of all Rotarians," states their Manual of Procedure "outside their clubs, to be active as individuals in as many legally constituted groups and organizations as possible to promote, not only in words but through exemplary dedication, awareness of the dignity of all people and the respect of the consequent human rights of the individual." The Rotarian's primary motto is "Service Above Self"; its secondary motto is "One profits most who serves best."

She directs him to WBAM and he finds it is a collection of junk in an abandoned stable. Humiliated, he boasts to Jane that he will put the old station on its feet again. He sends for his announcer friend, Tiny Martin, after convincing station-owner Pete Jones that Martin can give valuable aid in reviving the station. Merchants fear to use WBAM, although they despise Fox and his crony, Mayor Applegate, who is up for re-election. Learning that the merchants are holding a secret meeting, George uses a ruse to broadcast their suspicions about Fox and Applegate. They repudiate the statements, but George prepares another strong blast against them for a later broadcast. This angers Janes, who believes the attacks on her boss are unjustified and she tells George he should return to New York. While George waits for his train, Jane learns that Fox and Applegate have connived to loot the town treasury and, with Martin, she rushes to WBAM and adds her own evidence to the charges prepared previously by George and reads them over the air.

Want more tips for exchange? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE_KV-60qiQ I think these tips can help any Rotary Youth Exchange Student, even though I did make it sound as if it could only applied to those going to Taiwan. Sorry about that :( I have a couple more things to add on: 1. My airline is allowing me to check in one "big" suitcase and allowing me to bring a carry-on and a 'purse' with my person onto the plane. In my carry-on, I plan on carrying all of the 'valuables.' This includes gifts, travel documents, Rotary pins, underwear, a spare outfit— anything I do not want to lose. This is because the carry-on will always stay with me. In the larger suitcase I have all of my clothes, shoes and miscellaneous items I don't mind losing, since I am checking it in. With an upcoming schedule that puts them in Dubai, Istanbul, and the Philippines all within two weeks, the Diemers take time to pump the brakes, visit family in Poland, and rest up.
After a late night arrival in Warsaw, they hop aboard the most luxurious $5 cross country bus ride they’ll see the entire trip.
Arriving in Bydgoszcz, the Diemers meet up with Allison's cousin Megan- who is on exchange through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program- who takes them on a whirlwind tour of the city, culminating in the top rated Tripadvisor attraction Museum of Soap and History of Dirt. The Museum of Soap turns out to be more fun than could have been anticipated. The group has fun beating each other with sticks, making custom soap gifts for Grammi that would never make it home, and learning about how humans slowly became less gross thanks to the magic of soap.
Rounding out the site seeing, they trio takes walks along Mill’s Island, checks out the Tightrope Walker sculpture, Old Market Square, and Bydgoski Channel. Unfortunately, while Bydgoszcz was beautiful, weather didn’t cooperate and it was impossible to put the drone up for the duration of time spent there.

I think these tips can help any Rotary Youth Exchange Student, even though I did make it sound as if it could only applied to those going to Taiwan. Sorry about that :(
I have a couple more things to add on:
1. My airline is allowing me to check in one "big" suitcase and allowing me to bring a carry-on and a 'purse' with my person onto the plane. In my carry-on, I plan on carrying all of the 'valuables.' This includes gifts, travel documents, Rotary pins, underwear, a spare outfit— anything I do not want to lose. This is because the carry-on will always stay with me. In the larger suitcase I have all of my clothes, shoes and miscellaneous items I don't mind losing, since I am checking it in. Finally, for my 'purse,' I'm taking my white Adventure-Backpack filled with Mandarin workbooks, Passport/Visa, iPod, laptop and journal.
2. This applies to Asia and possibly other continents. I have been told by fellow Rebounds that in Asia, deodorant is very popular in it's aerosol form. Also if you shave, razors are apparently sold but possibly not the brand you could be fond of. I personally am packing deodorant and razors.
3. Though I am packing all of these products, I am not taking enough to last me for an entire year. My mom and I have mutually decided to send me care packages when needed. This was a decision made due to medicine I was not allowed to be supplied a years' worth of. Since my mom has to send me medicine every once in a while, she decided to send other products I might need as well. This also saves on weight.
4. Just because you aren't going to Taiwan, does not mean you shouldn't pack lightly. Regardless of what your country is, you're most likely going to want to buy whatever teenagers where there. Save the space for when you come back.
5. For the things you do choice to pack, make sure it's also appropriate for the temperature and climate of your country.
If your questions have yet to be answered, don't be afraid to ask questions. Since I am leaving for my trip tomorrow, I might be slow on responses but I will try my very best. By then I might even have more knowledge on this subject. Thank you :)
