Japan (i/dʒəˈpæn/; Japanese: 日本 Nippon [nip̚põ̞ɴ] or Nihon [nihõ̞ɴ]; formally 日本国
Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, "State of Japan") is an island country in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The kanji that make up Japan's name mean "sun origin", and Japan is often called the "Land of the Rising Sun".
Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, which make up about ninety-seven percent of Japan's land area. Japan's population of 126 million is the world's tenth largest. Approximately 9.1 million people live in Tokyo, the capital city of Japan, which is the sixth largest city proper in the OECD. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the world's largest metropolitan area with over 35 million residents and the world's largest urban agglomeration economy.

The United States of America (USA), commonly referred to as the United States (U.S.) or America, is a federal republic composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major territories and various possessions. The 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C., are in central North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwestern part of North America and the state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. The territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. At 3.8 million square miles (9.842 million km2) and with over 320 million people, the country is the world's third or fourth-largest by total area and the third most populous. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries. The geography and climate of the United States are also extremely diverse, and the country is home to a wide variety of wildlife.
CBS This Morning is an American morning television program that is broadcast on CBS. The program, which shares its title with a more traditionally formatted morning program that aired on the network from 1987 to 1999, airs Monday through Saturdays from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. in all time zones (airing live in the Eastern Time Zone and on tape-delay in the Central and Mountain Time Zones; stations in the Pacific Time Zone receive an updated feed with a specialized opening and updated live reports). It is the tenth distinct morning news-features program format that CBS has aired since 1954, having replaced The Early Show on January 9, 2012.
The weekday edition of the program is currently anchored by Charlie Rose, Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell. The program emphasizes general national and international news stories and in-depth reports throughout each edition, although it also includes live in-studio and pre-taped interviews. The format was chosen as an alternative to the soft news and lifestyle-driven formats of competitors Today and Good Morning America following the first hour or half-hour of those broadcasts, in an attempt to give the program a competitive edge with its hard news format (CBS has historically placed third in the ratings among the network morning shows).

Japan travel guide to what to do and eat in Miyajima, Hiroshima in a day! Hiroshima is near the bottom of the main island Honshu and a must visit when coming to Hiroshima is the island Itsukushima, more popularly known as Miyajima. It’s one of Japan’s top 3 scenic sights, most famous for its giant torii gate, which at high tide seems to float on the water. Miyajima island is also a great place for a day trip from the Kansai region like Kyoto and Osaka but I would recommend staying in Hiroshima for a few days to explore Hiroshima city and another day for Miyajima island. I started my trip off at Hiroshima station and took a 25 minute train ride to JR Miyajima-guchi station. From there it’s less than a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal where you will take a 10 minute ferry ride to go t...

I’m Japanese and this is my personal perspective. For the rest of the Japanese, what I can say is they’re fed up with it, too if they’re politically awakened. I had years of depression and I overcame that a couple of years ago. Yet, it kinda came back. My hormone lost its balance as well. My brain was foggy and I had no strength in gut but I could pick myself up finally just by the realization mentioned in the vid. I felt so stupid. I might sound like a spoiled kid in this vid but trust me, I’m not. As for me, mentality is strongly connected with my physical state, and it keeps astonishing me. PC is such a broad topic that I’m covering a limited range but I hope this will be food for thought in some way! Filmed on 2017/2/20. ▶︎Previous video: HEY U.S. LIBERALS! WE JAPANESE HUG! Abe also expressed "eternal condolences" for the American lives lost fighting Japan in World War II. "On behalf of Japan and the Japanese people, I offer with profound respect my eternal condolences to the souls of all American people that were lost during World War II," he said. "History is harsh. What's done cannot be undone," Abe said recalling his visit to the National World War II Memorial. "With deep repentance in my heart, I stood there in silent prayers".

In the three decades of economic development following 1960, Japan ignored defense spending in favor of economic growth, thus allowing for a rapid economic growth referred to as the Japanese post-war economic miracle. By the guidance of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, with average growth rates of 10% in the 1960s, 5% in the 1970s, and 4% in the 1980s, Japan was able to establish and maintain itself as the world's second largest economy from 1978 until 2010, when it was supplanted by the People's Republic of China. By 1990, income per capita in Japan equalled or surpassed that in most countries in the West. However, in the second half of the 1980s, rising stock and real estate prices caused the Japanese economy to overheat in what was later to be known as the Japanese asset price ...
