A quick walk-through on the EASA document that has the draft upcoming regulations/limitations of civilian drones.
* They want to kill DIY drones heavier than 250 grams
* they want to limit altitude to 50 meters
* they want registration
* if you want to fly up to 150 meters, you need to have training and a licence
* then they also want hard Geofencing and Electronic Identification
* and FPV is not allowed
* and you have to stay 50 meters away from people

What you have to do is WRITE AN EMAIL to them and explain as polite and explicit as you can, what you don't like about their proposal.
Write that email to: UASPrototypeRule@easa.europa.eu
When you live in EU/UK sign this petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/168112
You can go to http://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/map.html and find an MEP (Member of the European Parliament) from your own country. Write them an email about the EASA plans (with a link to it) and tell them what you think of it.

European Aviation Safety Agency
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is an agency of the European Union (EU) with regulatory and executive tasks in the field of civilian aviation safety. Based in Cologne, Germany, the EASA was created on 15 July 2003, and it reached full functionality in 2008, taking over functions of the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA). European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries have been granted participation in the agency.
The responsibilities of EASA include to conduct analysis and research of safety, authorising foreign operators, giving advice for the drafting of EU legislation, implementing and monitoring safety rules (including inspections in the member states), giving type-certification of aircraft and components as well as the approval of organisations involved in the design, manufacture and maintenance of aeronautical products.
As part of Single European Sky II the agency have been given additional tasks. These will be implemented before 2013. Amongst other things, EASA will now be able to certify Functional Airspace Blocks if more than three parties are involved.

* They want to kill DIY drones heavier than 2...
A quick walk-through on the EASA document that has the draft upcoming regulations/limitations of civilian drones.
* They want to kill DIY drones heavier than 250 grams
* they want to limit altitude to 50 meters
* they want registration
* if you want to fly up to 150 meters, you need to have training and a licence
* then they also want hard Geofencing and Electronic Identification
* and FPV is not allowed
* and you have to stay 50 meters away from people

What you have to do is WRITE AN EMAIL to them and explain as polite and explicit as you can, what you don't like about their proposal.
Write that email to: UASPrototypeRule@easa.europa.eu
When you live in EU/UK sign this petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/168112
You can go to http://www.europarl.europa.eu/meps/en/map.html and find an MEP (Member of the European Parliament) from your own country. Write them an email about the EASA plans (with a link to it) and tell them what you think of it.
