About: Alex Diplock has been producing psychedelic trance since 1995 and including his side project RealityGrid he has released four albums and at least an album's worth of singles to different labels and compilations. His uniquely positive, groovy and deeply psychedelic approach to music production has earned him well deserved respect among the global production community, and since moving to Brighton and upgrading his studio the sound has not stopped improving. Originating from Psychedelic rock bands he first attended Guitar Tech at brunel university at the age of 16, however deciding that psychedelic trance was his path, he began with electronic music production. He later obtained his production skills learning to record, mix and master rock bands using SSL mixing consoles and pro-tools with Logic audio back in 2000, after which he obtained an RSA approved level 3 GNVQ studio engineer certificate. Along with Beardy Weardy he runs Wildthings Records delivering all the creative aspects including album covers, promo graphics and website content and also A&R;. He has been traversing the globe spreading the music to far off lands for a number of years now stimulating minds and bodies globally, and has now long been a regular fixture in the international festival circuit. He also works professionally in the field of Motion Capture and 3D interactive software & show development. In the last 7 years Alex has played in more than 40 countries, ranging small parties to huge festivals his festival bookings among others have included Soulclipse festival Turkey, Universo Parallelo Brazil, Nagisa Festival Japan, Exodus and Super Freak Festival Australia, Hadra Festival France, Aurora Festival Brazil, Intriyami festival Peru, Universal Religion Nepal, Future Nature Festival Croatia and Ozora festival in Hungary. A tour of 7 countries is currently underway to promote the new album, which included Nepal, Germany, Poland, USA, Brazil, Peru & UK. The new album is titled "Neuroplasticity" and will be Wildthings Records 17th release, expect release through all good retailers at the beginning of August. Including his side project "RealityGrid" Alex has already released 4 solo albums, 2 of which are E.V.P releases with many singles releases in between albums on Wildthings Records, Hadra Records, Peak Records, Northern Psylight, Psynon Records and more... https://soundcloud.com/e-v-p-wildthings http://www.wildthingsrecords.co.uk/ The second solo project of E.V.P (Alex Diplock), Realitygrid has been blasting the festival circuit since 2006 and has recently released his 3rd album "Cow House" which was self mastered through his company Wild Mastering on Wildthings Records. Alex has been producing for around 20 years and holds RSA Sound engineering qualifications, has released 6 albums and toured in over 50 countries.This brighton based projects' 1st album was a great success, setting a fat, groovy and very psychedelic sound, which reflected a very high end production quality, they quickly stepped into the international festival circuit, the first festival gig being on the main stage at 2am on the closing night at the Soulclipse festival 2006. Since then the sound has been enjoyed globally and is continuing to go from strength to strength earning him headline slots at many parties and festivals worldwide. 2014 looks set to be a great year for this project and also the E.V.P, Wild Mastering and Acting Digital LTD, a co-run 3d software development company focussing on the interactions between physical performance, art & music. Expect to see RealityGrid at many festivals and parties over the coming year!
