2010 Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

2010 saw a number of devastating and deadly tragedies: the earthquakes in Haiti, Chile and China; the coal mine explosions in West Virginia and New Zealand; the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2010, we also lost many people in the public eye. Particularly resonant were the deaths of noted women, from Lena Horne to Rue McClanahan to Elizabeth Edwards. Meanwhile, the very real demise of a reality-TV fishing captain left fans reeling. This site was created to honor and remember celebrities, actors, athletes, musicians, journalists, politicians and other notable public figures who died in 2010.
