Charlie (parrot)

Charlie (allegedly hatched (1899-01-01) January 1, 1899), also known as Charlie the Curser, is a female blue-and-yellow macaw living in a pet sanctuary in Reigate, Surrey, United Kingdom. Charlie became famous when The Daily Mirror published an article about her in January 2004.

The bird's owner claims Charlie is over 100 years old.

Claimed association with Churchill

The owner also claims that Charlie was the property of Sir Winston Churchill while he was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II. He claims that his father-in-law sold the parrot to Churchill in 1937 and then reclaimed the bird shortly after Churchill's death in 1965. According to his stories, the vocal bird was taught by Churchill to shout curses at Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, to the chagrin of officials within the British government.

His claims have been solidly rejected by the administrators of the Chartwell property, Churchill's former country home, who have no record of any parrot. Further, Churchill's daughter, Lady Soames, has denied her father ever owned a macaw. According to Soames, Churchill did own an African grey parrot named Polly, but sold the bird before assuming the role of Prime Minister.

EX series

The characters below are not canonical to the Street Fighter storyline. Arika, not Capcom, owns the characters and the copyright to them, and Capcom has acknowledged a difficulty in having them appear in future games. Producer Yoshinori Ono originally said that the possibility of them appearing in future titles had not been ruled out, stating that Capcom still has a good relationship with Arika, however he has since amended his stance stating that the chances of the characters coming back are very small.

BioShock (series)

BioShock is a first-person shooter video game series developed by Irrational Games—the first under the name 2K Boston/2K Australia—and designed by Ken Levine. The first game in the series was released for the Windows operating system and Xbox 360 video game console on August 21, 2007 in North America, and three days later (August 24) in Europe and Australia. A PlayStation 3 version of the game, which was developed by 2K Marin, was released internationally on October 17, 2008 and in North America on October 21, 2008 with some additional features. The game was also released for the Mac OS X operating system on October 7, 2009. A version of the game for mobile platforms has also been developed by IG Fun. A sequel, BioShock 2, was released on February 9, 2010. On August 12, 2010, Irrational Games unveiled a trailer for a new game titled BioShock Infinite, released on March 26, 2013. With the release of BioShock Infinite selling over 11 million copies as of May 2015, the three games combined have more than 25 million copies sold.

Charlie (song)

"Charlie" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 2006 double album, Stadium Arcadium. Although the song was never released as a single, the band held a worldwide contest in March 2007 for fans to direct a music video for the song.

Singer Anthony Kiedis has stated in interviews that the song is about a person's imaginative spark or inspiration.

Music video

On March 6, 2007 the Chili Peppers announced a contest for someone to direct a video for the song through their YouTube channel. On June 2, it was announced on the website that the winner was chosen out of 2,600 submissions and was informed, but the official announcement to who won was announced on June 18. The winning director was Omri Cohen who not only had his video selected by the band but won $5,000 and got to meet the Chili Peppers in Paris, France. The opening video shows a young boy playing the opening riff to the Chili Peppers' 1991 song "I Could Have Lied" and is apparently of the band as kids as they travel through California in a red van. Along the way they pick up a Native American, and end up at Venice Beach. The video is dedicated to former Chili Peppers guitarist, Hillel Slovak. Anthony Kiedis stated that after watching dozens and dozens of videos this one had the most impact and even made both him and his girlfriend cry.

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (Japanese: 機動戦士ガンダム0080 ポケットの中の戦争, Hepburn: Kidō Senshi Gandamu 0080 Poketto no Naka no Sensō) is a six episode 1989 Japanese science fiction original video animation series. It is the first OVA series in the Gundam franchise. Directed by Fumihiko Takayama, it was also the first time anyone other than creator Yoshiyuki Tomino was given a chance to direct a Gundam story. Written by Hiroyuki Yamaga with character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto.

As suggested by its subtitle, "War in the Pocket," it is a small, personal story; a side story focusing on the experiences of a ten-year-old boy during the One Year War and his learning of the real meaning of war.

Plot

In Universal Century 0079, Zeon intelligence has identified a prototype Federation Gundam under development in a Federation base in the Arctic. Elite Zeon MS commandos are dispatched to destroy the prototype, but before they can accomplish their mission the Gundam is launched into space. When the Gundam turns up in a Federation R&D base inside the neutral space colony Side 6, the Principality launches a covert operation to destroy the Gundam utilizing the commando team originally dispatched to assault the Arctic base, including young rookie Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman. However, the raid fails and the entire team is killed except for Bernie.

Unpublished and uncollected works by Stephen King

According to books by Tyson Blue (The Unseen King), Stephen J. Spignesi (The Lost Work of Stephen King), and Rocky Wood et al. (Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished), there are numerous unpublished works by Stephen King that have come to light throughout King's career. These allegedly include novels and short stories, most of which remain unfinished. Most are stored among Stephen King's papers in the special collections of the Raymond H. Fogler Library at the University of Maine, some of which are freely accessible to the library's visitors. However, others require King's permission to read. Additionally, there are a number of uncollected short stories, published throughout King's long career in various anthologies and periodicals, that have never been published in a King collection.

Unpublished works
