Update from the AS2 unit of the prison of Ferrara

We’re sending a few lines to give the latest news on our situation.

Alfredo [Cospito] came back from solitary confinement to the unit on February 28. The same day Graziano [Mazzarelli] was taken away.

This is a result of the disciplinary reports that we all (Adriano, Fra, Graziano, Lucio, Michele, Nicola) received in the days following our protest. We  are accused of having insulted the guards on February 13, 14 and 15, and of  (listen to this) causing ‘disturbance and rioting’(art.77 of the prison disciplinary  regulations).

Perhaps too a generous charge, which we can only be proud of. So, following the usual ‘mini trial’, that is to say the disciplinary committee with the  governor, chief  officer, the doctor and various other prison leading characters, we were each sentenced to 15 days of ‘exclusion from social activities’.

The punishment will be enforced in the way and time most convenient for the prison administration. We don’t know if we’ll be going to the punishment cells every 15 days, one at a time, but we do know that over the coming months each of us will end up in solitary confinement for two weeks.
Meantime, Gianluca [Iacovacci] and Franco [Porcu] have been transferred here from Alessandria.

So we are now nine in scells.
