Are you WA's latest Lotto millionaire? Winning ticket worth $4.2 million

One lucky West Aussie who scooped the nation's entire Division 1 Lotto prize pool by winning a cool $4.2 million on the weekend has yet to come forward.

The winning ticket was sold at Flinders Square Lucky Lotto in Yokine. It was the only winning ticket sold in Australia.

What happens when you win lotto?

It's a dream for many but only a handful of lucky people will get to experience the process of what happens if you come across those winning numbers.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said it was one of only a handful of times the entire Saturday Lotto prize pool had been taken out by one West Australian.

"This is an extremely rare occurrence," Ms Compagnone said.

"Typically we'll see a couple of players around the nation take home a piece of the Saturday Lotto prize pool, however this weekend just one winning ticket was produced and it was right here in Western Australia."

Flinders Square Lucky Lotto owner Peter Barnes said it wasn't the first time his store had tasted Lotto luck.

"We've now sold three Division 1 winning tickets and given away countless Division 2 prizes," Mr Barnes said.

"Hopefully we can keep up the momentum ahead of tomorrow's $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot."

The weekend win is the 26th time WA has claimed a Division 1 prize so far this year, with those players sharing in almost $70 million.

Ticket sales for Tuesday's OZ Lotto jackpot close at 6pm Tuesday.
