Hello again, Last video for today from Boston with the Rolling Thunder Revue. This is the 21st concert of the Revue and is the evening gig in Boston. The tapes come from two sources of theLes Kokay collection. The first is an audience mono recording of the complete night for this concert including all performances by the Rolling Thunder Revue and Bob Dylan while the second contains an almost complete soundboard with only I Shall Be Released missing and the parts of the Rolling Thunder Revue set until Joni Mitchell comes on stage and the first two songs of Joan Baez set. If you need one concert from 1975, it is probably this one for the sheer quality of the and the complete performance available, the alternative being Madison Square Garden for the historical role of the Benefit. Most of the bootlegs around contain at least a few songs from that show, including the bests like Cowboy Angel Blues, Flagging Down Double E’s, and Get Ready! Tonight Bob's Staying Here With You. It was one of the top all-time concerts from Dylan’s career if we look at the polls on the forums like Expecting Rain and rightfully so. Bob is joyful and passionate, and the band is at its best. The tape is pretty clear for an audience recording and contains the whole gig, which is pretty rare for the time and for such length. The only downside is that several songs were released from the soundboard on the Bootleg Series Vol. 5. Most notably, the video for Tangled Up In Blue on Bob Dylan Vevo account comes from that show.
