Valve
A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. Valves are technically fittings, but are usually discussed as a separate category. In an open valve, fluid flows in a direction from higher pressure to lower pressure. The word is derived from the Latin valva, the moving part of a door, in turn from volvere, to turn, roll.
The simplest, and very ancient, valve is simply a freely hinged flap which drops to obstruct fluid (gas or liquid) flow in one direction, but is pushed open by flow in the opposite direction. This is called a check valve, as it prevents or "checks" the flow in one direction. Modern control valves may regulate pressure or flow downstream and operate on sophisticated automation systems.
Valves have many uses, including controlling water for irrigation, industrial uses for controlling processes, residential uses such as on / off and pressure control to dish and clothes washers and taps in the home. Even aerosols have a tiny valve built in. Valves are also used in the military and transport sectors.

Camera Mapping is a 3D technic that allowes you to convert a single image into a scene with 3D camera movement. Everything you see in this video is made of single photos. I used Cinema 4D for the camera mapping and animation as well as Adobe Premiere for the final cut and color grading. I hope you like it! This is short Half-Life 2 fan film about some kind of DNA mutation and epidemy in c17. Original footage made in Russia, Krasnoznamensk with canon 550d in 2011. I used original ingame models as well as my own models made in c4d, 3d animations also made in c4d. Sound and music are from original game and sfx libraries. Postprod and editing made in Adobe After Effects and FCP X.

I used Cinema 4D for the camera mapping and animation as well as Adobe Premiere for the final cut and color grading.

This is short Half-Life 2 fan film about some kind of DNA mutation and epidemy in c17. Original footage made in Russia, Krasnoznamensk with canon 550d in 2011. I used original ingame models as well as my own models made in c4d, 3d animations also made in c4d. Sound and music are from original game and sfx libraries. Postprod and editing made in Adobe After Effects and FCP X.

Camera Mapping is a 3D technic that allowes you to convert a single image into a scene with 3D camera movement. Everything you see in this video is made of single photos.
I used Cinema 4D for the camera mapping and animation as well as Adobe Premiere for the final cut and color grading.

The big boys at Valve have hired an unknown number of folks behind the space sim Kerbal Space Program [official site], RPS fanzine PC Gamer is reporting. A former Valve developer said as much in an interview on the podcast Game Dev Unchained and a current Valve spokesperson confirmed it to the mag, saying “We’ll be announcing more soon”. As a guest on the Game Dev Unchained podcast, ex-Valve employee Roger Lundeen mentioned that his former company hired the Kerbal Space Program team around five or six months ago. PC Games Network then clarified the comments with Lundeen and Valve. A company representative said.
