Torsten is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Sydney. He works at the Quantum Nanoscience Lab. 

His research focuses on enhanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques using hyperpolarised 13C in nanodiamonds and HgTe topological insulators. 

Torsten hopes to achieve improved medical imaging (MRI) technology.
