Horley is a town in Surrey on the border of Surrey and West Sussex, England, south of the twin towns of Reigate and Redhill, and neighbouring Gatwick Airport and in turn Crawley. With fast links by train round-the-clock to London from Horley railway station, it qualifies as a commuter town and has a significant economy of its own, including business parks and a relatively long high street.
In the past the Weald was a densely forested and marshy area. During Saxon times, the Manor of Horley came under the control of the Benedictine Abbey of St Peter at Chertsey. In the Domesday Book of 1086, the Manor was within the hundred known as Cherchefelle which in 1199 became known as Reigate. The Manor passed to Henry VIII on the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539 and changed hands several times during the next sixty years.
About 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east is the overgrown but well-preserved site of Thunderfield Castle, a twelfth-century ring and bailey castle.
High Street (or the High Street, also High Road) is a metonym for the concept (and frequently the street name) of the primary business street of towns or cities, especially in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations. To distinguish it from "centres" of nearby places it is frequently preceded unofficially by the name of its settlement. In a town it implies the focal point for business, especially shops and street stalls (if any) in town and city centres. As a generic shorthand presupposed upon linear settlements it may be used to denote more precise concepts such as the urban retail sector, town centre sectors of employment, all small shops and services outlets and even wider concepts taking in social concepts. The smallest High Street in Britain is located in a small market town in Devon called Holsworthy. The street itself is no more than 100 yards long and there are only three shops located on Holsworthy's High Street.
High Street is the most common street name in the UK, which according to a 2009 statistical compilation has 5,410 High Streets, 3,811 Station Roads and 2,702 Main Streets.
High Street Tour of my closest Town. Horley is a town in Surrey on the border of Surrey and West Sussex, England. Horley is a small but busy town of over 20,000 people situated almost half way between London and Brighton on the south coast. It is mainly residential and sits astride both the main line railway and the A23 main road, between the two locations, close by London Gatwick Airport. With fast links by train round-the-clock to London. In the past the Weald was a densely forested and marshy area. Uber taxis have arrived in Horley Surrey, just look at the devistation they have made. Human faeces lying everywhere and the stench from them urinating up against council bins.
On the 18/06/16 Horley put on it's 4th Carnival. Biggest one yet. It's theme for this year was 'Through the Ages and Beyond'. Well done to all the people that put in so much work.
The first day of a proposed 5 day strike by the RMT Union on Southern Rail. Not a lot of trains stopping at Horley station - hence the quiet platforms. Various stock speeds through, between Brighton; Gatwick; Reading; and London terminals. The only thing missing is tumbleweed blowing across the platforms! There are various Classes of EMU (mostly 377 / 387 / the relatively new 700's) plus a couple of Class 442 Wessex GX and a few Class 166 GWR DMU sets. Paintwork is Southern; Thameslink; Gatwick Express (GX on the new paintwork) and GWR livery on the DMUs. Was hoping to capture some freight (mostly mineral / ballast trains). There were a few on the schedule that might have operated during this period, but none of them made an appearance. The aircraft are flying into Gatwick Airport - the...
My collection of original works by Alex Horley. I've been collecting his work for the last 10 years. He is an amazing talented artist. While most artists are going digital. He is one of the breed that will to it the traditional way. The incredible soundtrack is by Midnight Syndicate.
In car view of the trip home from Waitrose Supermarket Horley to home, through the Surrey countryside. A little music attached from Gary Numan, Candlemass and Era.
On the 07/06/14 Horley put on it's 2nd Carnival after a 10 years gap, and it didn't disappoint. It's theme for this year was Musicals. Well done to all the people that put in so much work. Just watch and wait to see the Lion King one at the end....WOW

The Gatwick Express is a high-frequency rail passenger service between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport in South East England, operated by Southern. From July 2015, Gatwick Express will become a part of Govia Thameslink Railway, with the Gatwick Express brand being retained. To read more about The Gatwick Express, click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatwick_Express . This film features a predominantly Easterly view from a Gatwick Express Train as it makes the journey South from London Victoria to Gatwick Airport. En-route the train passes Battersea Power Station, and then travels through Clapham Junction, East Croydon, Redhill and Horley. The majority of the footage is of the passing urban areas, railway stations, railway infrastructure and the countryside between London and Ga...

Not the trickiest of par 4s however, it's very important to draw a clear strategy. Read the full review here: http://bit.ly/1YUEQQW ________________ SUBSCRIBE! This vlog is really special to me. It captures the weekend that my boyfriend Emil and I spent in Devon County, England; when I first met his family and learned about where he grew up. Music: Ed Sheeran - "Photograph"

Just a little tour of Victoria Station in London, England. I went there to take the Victoria line to Marylebone station but lo and behold when I got there it was jampacked because part of the Victoria line had shut down, so I just took the number 2 bus.
Burn it all down
Wanna buy another round
Gonna light up in the sound of the speaker
Show your knee socks
Drink tequila on the rocks
'Til you make your body pops
To the speaker
Burn it all down
Wanna buy another round
Gonna light up in the sound of the speaker
Show your knee socks
Drink tequila on the rocks
'Til you make your body pops
To the speaker
(I wanna go)
Downtown where my posse's at
(Because I got)
Nine lives like a kitty cat
(Uh, you wanna roll)
(That's how I roll)
(I wanna go)
Bling bling when I hear that bass
(I'm gonna do)
My thing if you want a taste
(Uh, you better know)
(Uh, that's how I roll)
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Feel the earth quake
Gonna make your body shake
'Til the circuits start to break
In the speaker
Can we get fly
Helicopter in the sky
'Cause we turn it up high in the speaker
If you know what it takes to be my man
We can go make love together
You can be my thug tonight
We can tear it up tonight
(I wanna go)
Downtown where my posse's at
(Because I got)
Nine lives like a kitty cat
(Uh, you wanna roll)
(That's how I roll)
(I wanna go)
Bling bling when I hear that bass
(I'm gonna do)
My thing if you want a taste

(Uh, that's how I roll)
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Bum bum bum ba da dee dum bum bum
Shimmy shimmy ya shimmy yo shimmy yay
We could give them what they want or we could take it away
Try luck tonight
We could tear it up tonight
If you know what it takes to be my man
We can go make love together
You can be my thug tonight
