Taking Standardized Dental Exams with DENTPIN®

In order to take any standardized dental exam, you must obtain a DENTPIN. It is a unique personal identifier for applicants and students involved with the U.S. dental education system and standardized testing programs. 

Applying to Dental Education Programs

Each accredited dental education program has its own application process and set of admission requirements. Please contact the programs you are interested in directly.

American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS)
AADSAS the central application service for dental schools. Part of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), this service is available to all students applying to dental schools participating in the application service. AADSAS simplifies the application process by providing one standardized form, relieving students of the need to complete multiple applications. Dental programs benefit by receiving uniform information on all applicants. Additionally, the ADEA has a directory that has the admission requirements and description of the programs at each dental school.

Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS)
The American Dental Education Association also includes PASS. This service is available to all individuals applying to postdoctoral dental education programs participating in the application service. PASS simplifies the application process by providing on standardized format, relieving applicants of the need to complete multiple applications. Dental programs benefit by receiving uniform information on all applicants.
