Hossein is a postgraduate student at Macquarie University currently undertaking his PhD under the supervision of postdoctoral research fellow Dr. Dominic Berry. 

The aim of this project is to use quantum mechanical properties to improve upon classical measurements in interferometric systems in the presence of decoherence. 

Hossein hopes to produce experimentally feasible schemes to do high precision measurement in optical and Ramsey interferometers.
