The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is the second Australian commercial free-to-air television network, which is currently owned by Seven West Media Limited. It dates back to 4 November 1956, when the first station on the VHF7 frequency was established in Melbourne. The Seven Network was the second of the five national free-to-air networks in Australia to be launched.
Since 2007, the Seven Network has been the highest rated television network in Australia, ahead of the Nine Network, Network Ten, ABC and SBS. In 2011 the Seven Network won all 40 out of 40 weeks of the ratings season for total viewers. Seven is the first to do this since the introduction of the OZtam ratings system in 2001. As of 2014, it is the second largest network in the country in terms of population reach.
Seven's administration headquarters are based in a converted warehouse at Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont, Sydney, completed in 2003. The network's main playout centre is located in Docklands, Melbourne. National news and current affairs programming are based between flagship station ATN in Sydney and HSV in Melbourne. In 2009, Seven moved its Sydney-based production operations from Epping to a purpose-built high-definition television production facility at the Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh.

A mix of Shaolin martial arts and cartoonish comedy. In an old temple lying deep in the mountains of China lives an old monk (Eric Tsang) and his seven young disciples. The music-loving old master names them Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, and teaches them his supreme kung fu. Rare footage of the original broadcast of the final episode of Sons and Daughters, recorded from Channel Seven Australia in 1987. This was an hour-long episode - it had become the norm by this point to show episodes in an hour-long format in most parts of Australia. In Sydney and Melbourne, this began at the start of the 1985 season, although some other Seven stations and local affiliates continued with half-hour episodes for a while longer. This differs from the half-hour episodes as the commercial breaks come at different points, and there is a recap before the opening credits. By this point the programme was only scheduled once a week, on Sundays, on most major stations. I think the font used for the opening sequence credits may differ slightly from the half-hour versions, and ...
