Hi, my name is Phil from the german travel blog www.killerwal.com. Today I'm gonna take you to Zurich, which is the capital of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland but not of Switzerland itself, which has no capital city at all.
The city of Zurich has approximately 400,000 inhabitants, is the largest city in Switzerland and has a population density of approximately 4300 inhabitants per square kilometer. Zurich is the most important economic, scientific and social center of Switzerland. The city lies in the eastern Swiss Plateau, on the Lake Zurich. Its inhabitants are called "Zürcher".
For years, Zurich is one of the cities with the highest quality of life and listed the highest cost of living simultaneously. Since 2012, Zurich is regarded as the most expensive city in the world, followed by Tokyo and Geneva.
With its main railway station, the largest station in Switzerland , and the airport, the city of Zurich is a continental transportation hub and thanks to the local big banks (including UBS and Credit Suisse ) and insurances (Zurich Insurance Group and Swiss Re) an international financial center and the largest financial center Switzerland, followed by Geneva and Lugano. Despite the relatively small population Zurich is therefore considered one of the world's cities. Above average number of media companies , including Swiss radio and television, have their headquarters here Thanks to its location on Lake Zurich and its well-preserved medieval center and a wide range of cultural attractions and nightlife, it is also a center of Swiss Tourism.

Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. The classic lineup, as signed to Geffen Records in 1986, consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, Use Your Illusion–era keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman. Die Applikation "Lock & Load" erlaubt interessante Orte in Zürich auf transparente Weise anzuzeigen und persönliche "Fundstücke" zu speichern, um diese jederzeit leicht wieder zu finden und so dem individuellen Bewegungs- und Entdeckungsdrang gerecht zu werden.
Die Applikation versteht sich als City Guide und Navigationshilfe, die einem durch relevante Inhalte das unbeschwerte Entdecken und Erleben einer neuen Stadt auf intuitive Art und Weise erlaubt.
Das Entdecken unterstützt die Applikation indem Orte als "Lock" markiert werden können. Hierfür wird ein oder mehrere Bilder vom Benutzer gespeichert und automatisch mit den Ortsangaben via GPS abgelegt, sodass dieser Ort später einfach wieder aufgesucht werden kann. Die Bilder dienen hierbei dazu, dass sich der Benutzer schnell an den Ort erinnern kann, da er seine persönliche Sicht damit festgehalten hat und die GPS-Daten leiten den User einfach und schnell via Pfeil- oder Markeransicht an den gewünschten Ort zurück.
"Lock & Load" legt einen grossen Fokus auf die Interaktion. Während dem Erleben und Entdecken der Stadt kann mittels der Lage des Smart Phones die Applikation schnell und intuitiv bedient werden, um somit z. B. die Informationsdichte zu beeinflussen. Für planende Prozesse ist die Bedienung einfach mit einem Finger ausführbar. Die Navigation erfolgt zum einem mit einer Pfeilansicht, welche Richtung, Distanz und erklärende Texte beinhaltet. Die Markeransicht nutzt Augmented Reality, um mittels Markern interessante Orte live in der Kamera-Ansicht anzuzeigen. Die Pfeilansicht kann mit einer Kippbewegung des Smart Phones in eine Listenansicht umgewandelt werden. Zu jedem Ort kann jederzeit eine Detailansicht aufgerufen werden, um diesen einer Route zuzuordnen oder als Lock zu speichern.
Die Anzeige der verschiedenen Informationsarten kann durch Lagers, welche ein- und ausgeschaltbar sind, beeinflusst werden. Layers sind wie Folien die einmal eingeschaltet, ihre spezifischen Informationen sichtbar machen.

Given the Google background of the founders, it is not surprising that the Triposo team borrowed many techniques from the search giant. In this talk we'll discuss the general overview of the data processing pipeline and go into what works and what doesn't.
Douwe Osinga is a software engineer, entrepreneur and traveller. After 7 years at Google working on Search, Mobile and Google Wave in offices ranging from Zurich and Hyderabad to Sydney, he's back to running a start-up, Triposo. He lives in Berlin in an apartment without furniture
