Abbas Ali Khan
Sahibzada Abbas Ali Khan (born 23 November 1978), better known as Abbas Ali Khan is Pakistani singer, songwriter and music producer from Islamabad. Abbas has released two independent albums "Sun Re" and "Tamaam Alam Mast".
Early life and career
Abbas was born on 23 November 1978 in Islamabad, Pakistan to a musician's family. He joined a local band "Amadeus" at the age of fourteen and wrote his first song "Qadam Say Qadam" in 1987. Abbas received training of Classical music from Fateh Ali Khan and began his career as a music composer. "My guru Ustad Fateh Ali Khan has been an exception in this regard. He taught me whatever I could absorb, which is why I was able to bridge intuition with influence," said Abbas. He released his debut independent album "Sun Re" in 2006 by which he gained popularity as a solo musician. He remained inactive for few years and made his comeback in 2012 with a single "Per Main Hun Ruka Sa" which received nomination at 1st Hum Awards for Best Solo Artist. Abbas joined Coke Studio in 2014 and released his second independent album "Tamaam Alam Mast" (Entire Universe in Ecstasy) in the same year. He told in an interview that the album is a Sufi album with kalams in Urdu and Persian. The album was also nominated at 14th Lux Style Awards for "Album of the Year". Abbas has also composed soundtrack for 2015 romantic comedy film Dekh Magar Pyar Se.

Plot: A serious accident took place in Bombay, India, which involves Abbas Khan parents, as a result of which they passed away, leaving all the properties and estate for Abbas Khan to inherit. The police feel that his situation is vulnerable, as they suspect his parents' death was not accidental. They however, arrange for a full-time personal bodyguard in the shape and form of Inspector Rajveer Singh. And Inspector Rajveer agrees to do so. After a series of misadventures, the child takes a liking to Rajveer, and so does the childs' parents secretary, Sapna Khanna. Rajveer comes to know that the assailant behind the killings of Abbas's parents is one Muslim man named Naseer Ahmed, and traces him to a mental hospital where he is an inmate. Naseer has sworn to avenge the humiliation and death of his father and family, at the hands of Abbas's father, by killing each and everyone in the family. Rajveer's brutal efforts to seek information from Naseer gets him behind bars, as the police refuse to believe that a confined inmate is capable of killing. But soon Rajveer is release from prison as he was keeping a low profile while in jail and reach out to find sufficient evidence that will open the law's eye and prove Naseer guilty and as the world's most dangerous underworld don and criminal other than an inmate.

I sat quietly at a corner and started feeling the street life around me - faint sound of the cars passing by, a loud biker, dim light, conversations of the shop keepers, some pigeons in the middle of street, people waiting at the traffic light, kids playing and then the two little girls. They did not notice me, was I part of the street? perhaps I sat too long to be conspicuous anymore despite with this white big zoom lens i had in my hands. I was amused by this feeling of being invisible, virtually. Iran, formerly known as Persia, is a land of magical splendour, ancient architecture and Oriental hospitality. Tehran has been the capital of the Persian Empire since 1795. Founded by Mohammed Aga Khan it is a vibrant place that ranks among the most densely populated cities on Earth. Its biggest transformation in its recent history was due to religious leader, Ayatollah Khomeyni, who in 1979 established the Iranian Republic, a theocracy within the teachings of the Koran. The Saad-Abad Palace complex was the first summer residence of the Qadjarian kings. Following several extensions, from the 1920’s eighteen palaces were used by Reza Shah Pahlevi and his family. The city of Kashan prospered under the Safavid, Shah Abbas The First, who designed the Bagh-E-Fin Garden according to a model of a Persian paradise garden. Outside the city, the settlement mound of Tepe Sialk uncovered finds that can be traced back to the seventh millennium B.C. At the time of Shah Abbas, Kashan was fortified with a double city wall that contained more than six thousand buildings, plus forty mosques and three Koran schools. The Koran Gate leads to the city of Shiraz, a city of love, roses and poetry. Famous Persian poets once lived here and created works of great beauty. Today their mausoleums are visited with much reverence, such as the Hafiz Tomb. For fifty eight years, Ionic stonemasons, Babylonian brick makers, Median and Egyptian goldsmiths, worked in Persepolis, they created what was an indelible symbol of the Achaemenid Empire. The highest level contained the royal residences with living rooms, a fire temple and harem. Iran is still a land of desert, palaces and mosques, a country that is timeless, captivating and historic.

Famous Persian poets once lived in the city in which they created works of great beauty and even today their mausoleums are visited with much reverence. With its many domed rooms, the Vakil Bath House was built in around 1776 A.D. Within the vaults, numerous frescoes depict floral ornaments and religious motifs, with life-like characters amid inviting bathing facilities. The Vakil complex also contains a mosque that was built at the same time as the Bazaar and is a replicre of a regal Arabian mosque. All from the same source, forty eight twisted ribbed marble columns support the ceiling that is covered with tile mosaics. The Vakil Bazaar, whose main thoroughfare is around eight hundred metres long, is the most beautiful in Iran. The Madrese Khan is the most well-known traditional university in Shiraz and was donated by Allah Verdi Khan, a famous military leader of Shah Abbas. When Teheran became the capital of the Qajaren Empire, Shiraz became less important. Yet, even today, the city’s scholars and poets are still held in high esteem, with both modernity and tradition complementing each other in peaceful harmony.

These pictures are my reflection and as much as they depict the external world around me, they also provide that pin-hole view of the thought and the person behind the lens. I feel, that my camera has become a biological extension of myself and these pictures are my pictures -- in figurative and in literal sense.
