A440 or A-440 may refer to:
A440 or A4, which has a frequency of 440 Hz, is the musical note A above middle C and serves as a general tuning standard for musical pitch.
Prior to the standardization on 440 Hz, many countries and organizations followed the Austrian government's 1885 recommendation of 435 Hz, which had also been the French standard since the 1860s. The American music industry reached an informal standard of 440 Hz in 1926, and some began using it in instrument manufacturing. In 1936 the American Standards Association recommended that the A above middle C be tuned to 440 Hz. This standard was taken up by the International Organization for Standardization in 1955 (reaffirmed by them in 1975) as ISO 16. Although not universally accepted, since then it has served as the audio frequency reference for the calibration of acoustic equipment and the tuning of pianos, violins, and other musical instruments.
It is designated A4 in scientific pitch notation because it occurs in the octave that starts with the fourth C key on a standard 88-key piano keyboard. On MIDI, it is note 69.
Year 440 (CDXL) was a leap year starting on Monday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Valentinianus and Anatolius (or, less frequently, year 1193 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 440 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.
Let There Be Rock is an album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It was the band's third internationally released studio album and the fourth to be released in Australia. All songs were written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott. It was originally released on 21 March 1977 in Australia on the Albert Productions label. A modified international edition was released on 25 July 1977 on Atlantic Records.
By 1977, AC/DC had become extremely successful in their native Australia and had also achieved a degree of popularity in the U.K. and Europe, largely on the strength of their pulverizing live show. However, Atlantic Records in the United States had rejected the band's third album Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, feeling the production was not up to par, and the band, which had yet to tour America, returned to Albert Studios in Sydney to record another album. From the beginning, it appears they intended to make a statement, with guitarist Angus Young telling VH1's Behind the Music in 2000, "Me and Malcolm said, 'Well, we really want a lot of guitars,' you know? Big guitars." The band's first album released in Australia, High Voltage, had contained glam-rock elements, while their ensuing releases had been recorded piecemeal as the group toured incessantly and were also altered for international release. Let There Be Rock, on the other hand, was recorded in one go and represented a major evolution in the band's sound, with many critics and fans citing it as the first true AC/DC album; in his book Highway to Hell: The Life and Times of AC/DC Legend Bon Scott, author Clinton Walker observes, "Let There Be Rock was the first fully rounded AC/DC album. The band had finally found itself."
This video is a cymatic version of Sound Frequencies in Water: A=440 Hz vs. A=432 Hz. It has been said that music tuned in A=432 Hz is more beautiful and harmonious to the ears and induces a more inward experience where music tuned in A=440 Hz is more outward, mental experience which is projected outwards. I am sure you have already seeing the following still photos of how the A=440 Hz vs A=432 Hz looks like. They have been circulating the net for some time. Well I thought it will be cool to generate them using my cymatoscope…and so I did…in real time! It is said that “a picture is worth a thousand words”...well I would add that "a video is a perfect shot of reality..." Conclusion: Don't let yourself be fooled by images you have been shown on the net. Investigate the truth yourself! This i...
I go over the 432hz and 440hz tuning question as well as rant about stupid mother fuckers. link to retarded video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e9-P_zbjbY link to Jesse Anderson's channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-Ur_SbJ7uVcAqf3aiSLoGw
There's been a debate floating around about whether instruments sound better tuned to 440 Hz or 432 Hz. While 440 is the standard tuning (and what the vast majority of songs today are tuned to) there are arguments that 432 is a better, fuller, more natural tuning. There are even extreme theories that 432 has healing properties and todays mainstream 440 usage came about from the Nazis, Illuminati, etc. because it agitates people and causes them to be aggressive. This video allows you to test yourself to see if you like 440 Hz or 432 Hz better. You won't know which sample is which. Listen to each and see if you like one better than the other or if one feels better to you than the other and draw your own conclusions. Key Change: A lot of people come into this video with their mind already...
The standard concert pitch we use today has the "A" note at 440hz, but there's a ton of people out there that are saying that tuning the "A" to 432hz sounds much better and has a better effect on people. The jury is still out for me. There's alot of info and dis-info on the internet on this subject so it's hard to separate fact from fiction. I made this video as an experiment to see which one sounds best to me. I played the song two different times. First with the guitar tuned to standard concert pitch of A=440 hertz (hz) or cycle per second (cps), then with A=432 hz, using a Korg chromatic tuner. Then I interspersed clips of the videos together to try to determine which sounded better. The video starts with shorter clips and ends with longer clips. This first short clip starts with A=...
The difference between an ( A = 432 hz ) and an ( A = 440 hz ) Hear it Understand it Sorry for spelling mistakes: I usually dont speak english Sorry for the ''not that much'' quality audio, I made a couple of chords with Reason_5 software just to show the differences. You can easily change the pitch of all your audio files with Audacity (free) Just Google: change pitch 440 hz to 432 hz with audacity! We need to be harmonised with our world
Need a guitar + amp https://www.gofundme.com/e9kyv7sk Hi! For all of you Guitar+Bass Jammers...The whole "Let There Be Rock" songs in A-440. ALL of the songs are not in proper pitch...(Except for "Problem Child") so if you are tuned to 440, you can't Jam along to the songs in the correct keys. So I Re-Tuned them in A-440....Enjoy...."Let There Be Rock"!!...indeed!

HOSTAGE
Do you know
Do you know
Do you know where ya gonna go?
If a DC-10 ever fell on your head
Laying in the ground all messy and dead
Or a Mack truck run over you
Or you suddenly die in your Sunday pew
Do you know where you're gonna go
It can happen any day
It can happen any way
It can happen while you're nappin' in your easy chair
Happen at home
Happen at school
Happen while you're scattin' like a scattin' fool
I say do you know where ya gonna go?
CHORUS
Do you know where you're gonna go
Do you know where you're gonna go
Do you know where you're gonna go
Straight to Heaven
Or down the hole?
CHORUS
747 fell out of Heaven
Crashed through the roof of a 7-11
You're working on a Slurpee
Things get hazy
Reach for the Twinkie now you're pushing up daisies
