Jake is a postgraduate student at the University of Queensland currently undertaking his PhD under the supervision of postdoctoral research fellow Dr. Mark Baker.

His project aim is to prototype, characterise and benchmark a rotation sensor based on matter-wave Sagnac interferometry with 87Rb BECs.

Jake hopes to produce the first Sagnac measurements of the Earth's rotation with BECs.
