Fancy some meditation with jungle behind you and crystal clear water below? Maybe a quick family getaway? What about partying like a rockstar during a river cruise? Bali can accommodate all that and more! Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway to reconnect with yourself or someone close to you, or want to celebrate a big occasion, a Bali holiday can be tailored to your every fairy-tale fantasy. Why should I book Bali Holiday instead of somewhere else nearby?

Bali is an easy, delightful and hassle-free place to visit. Visas are required for Australian visitors and are purchased on arrival at a cost USD$35, with an exit fee of IDR$150,000 (roughly AUD$15). The flight time from the East Coast of Australia is no more than 6 hours and from the West Coast a breezy 3.5 hours, so maximising holiday time is easily organized.

All of our My Bali holidays include exclusive VIP concierge service as well as private transfers, so upon arrival you know someone will be waiting to expedite you through customs and immigration into an air-conditioned vehicle with a cold bottle of water and our unique My Bali arrival pack. At the end of your trip, the VIP concierge service allows you to enter the business class lounge and Denpasar airport to end your vacation like a high-end traveller.

Bali often gets compared to neighbouring tropical destinations like Fiji and Phuket, however Bali holidays are a completely unique experience. With a history spanning thousands of years, temples situated on cliff tops, rice paddies that you can cycle through and cultural experiences abounding, Bali has more to offer than traditional beachside vacations. Bali is a slightly more budget friendly option than Fiji, with My Bali packages for a 10-night stay about the same price as a 7-night stay in Fiji. For shopping and partying (with or without the cultural addition), Bali hosts day and night markets where you can practice your haggling skills before sipping cocktails at the renowned Ku Te Da bar or AYANA Resort’s Rock Bar.

Phuket, like Bali, has temples, rice paddies and white sand beaches, but Bali is considered to be more family friendly and easier to navigate than Phuket. It’s also smaller, meaning the relaxation slots in nicely with activity and at no time do you feel bored or rushed. With Bali, you can come away feeling like no stone has been left unturned and you get a strong sense of the local flavour. In short, Bali holidays can be more “go, do, party” and Fiji holidays are more “relax, chill, snorkel”. The decision is ultimately yours, and an experience My Bali or My Fiji consultant will be happy to assist and answer any questions you may have.

When is the best time to enjoy my Bali Holidays?

Bali boasts warm, sunny, 12-hour long days all year round due to its proximity to the equator. Daytime temperatures average between 27º to 32ºC in the southern lowlands, however due to the 75% humidity, it tends to feel hotter. The monsoon season in Bali refers to the wind, not the rain showers, and falls between October and April. The “dry” season is from May to September, when showers are less frequent but not impossible.

May, June and July are generally considered to be the best time to enjoy your Bali holidays in terms of the weather, but beware of soaring costs during this season (especially if your travel dates coincide with Australian or New Zealand school holidays). Also, if you’re looking to travel for the best surfing, the best breaks on the Western side of Bali can usually be found between May and October.
