It has been ten years since Theo Niermeijer – The Iron Poet – passed away. His work can still be found throughout Amsterdam. Many sculptures are stored in his old workshop in Zeeburg. WOW Amsterdam takes them out into the daylight with an open air exhibition (Sept-Nov 2015). Together, they illustrate Niermeijer’s artistic development.

Hostel (2005 film)
Hostel is a 2005 American horror-thriller film written and directed by Eli Roth. It stars Jay Hernandez and was produced by Mike Fleiss, Eli Roth, and Chris Briggs, with Boaz Yakin, Scott Spiegel, and Quentin Tarantino as executive producers. It is the first installment of the Hostel film series, followed by Hostel: Part II (2007) and Hostel: Part III (2011). The film tells the story of two college students traveling across Europe, who find themselves preyed upon by a mysterious group that tortures and kills kidnapped victims.
Plot
College students Paxton (Jay Hernandez) and Josh (Derek Richardson) are traveling across Europe with their Icelandic friend Óli (Eyþór Guðjónsson). In Amsterdam, the three meet a man named Alexei (Lubomir Bukovy), who convinces them to visit a hostel in Slovakia that is filled with beautiful women. The three board a train to Slovakia, where they encounter a strange Dutch Businessman (Jan Vlasák). When they arrive at the hostel, they are greeted by Natalya (Barbara Nedeljáková) and Svetlana (Jana Kaderabkova), who invite them to the spa, and later to the disco. That night, Paxton and Josh sleep with Natalya and Svetlana, while Óli sleeps with the desk girl, Vala (Jana Havlickova). The next morning, they are surprised to see that Óli hasn't returned, and they are unable to contact him. They are later approached by a Japanese girl named Kana (Jennifer Lim), who shows them a photo of Óli and her friend Yuki (Keiko Seiko), who has disappeared as well.

It is located in the Talara Province and is capital of the Máncora District. The town has 8,852 inhabitants (1999). The Pan-American Highway serves as Máncora's main street. The area is known for its attractive turquoise beaches and good waves, making it a surfing destination. This beach location is favored by two ocean currents year round: the cold Humboldt Current 14 to 19 C° and the warm Niño Current 21 to 27 C°, giving it a tropical-dry climate with ocean waters averaging around 24 C°. Summers last from December to April and are very hot. Rain is usual during the night and the temperature can reach over 38 °C. The rest of the year is dry, breezy, and sunny. The temperature during winter and spring never falls bellow 25 C° during daytime and is usually around the high 20's. Night temperatures drop to around 17 C°. The beach town has over 30 different beach resorts that receive tourists from all over South America. Most people arrive by bus, private car, or plane from the Talara Airport or Tumbes Airport. Currently, tourism is booming as a large influx of tourists take to the beaches all year round. In 2005 340,000 tourists visited Mancora. The resort town has the unique characteristic to seem private and empty when relaxing on the beach, while brimming with people late into the night at the many nightclubs in town playing loud music. It is extremely well connected to the rest of the country and with easy worldwide access. It has been ten years since Theo Niermeijer – The Iron Poet – passed away. His work can still be found throughout Amsterdam. Many sculptures are stored in his old workshop in Zeeburg. WOW Amsterdam takes them out into the daylight with an open air exhibition (Sept-Nov 2015). Together, they illustrate Niermeijer’s artistic development.

Máncora es una localidad en el norte del Perú. Es capital del distrito de Máncora en la provincia de Talara, Piura, cerca del departamento de Tumbes. Es un balneario y al mismo tiempo caleta de pescadores. En los últimos años se ha convertido en una playa muy visitada por los surfistas peruanos y extranjeros. Máncora es una playa enclavada en el Pacífico sudamericano, zona que también comprende las playas y caletas de Colán, Punta Sal, Totoritas, Las Pocitas, Cabo Blanco, entre otras.
Máncora y la zona norte del Perú se han convertido en un potencial eje turístico del Perú.

Máncora is a town and beach resort in the Piura Region, in northwestern Peru. It is located in the Talara Province and is capital of the Máncora District. The town has 8,852 inhabitants (1999).
The Pan-American Highway serves as Máncora's main street. The area is known for its attractive turquoise beaches and good waves, making it a surfing destination. This beach location is favored by two ocean currents year round: the cold Humboldt Current 14 to 19 C° and the warm Niño Current 21 to 27 C°, giving it a tropical-dry climate with ocean waters averaging around 24 C°.
Summers last from December to April and are very hot. Rain is usual during the night and the temperature can reach over 38 °C. The rest of the year is dry, breezy, and sunny. The temperature during winter and spring never falls bellow 25 C° during daytime and is usually around the high 20's. Night temperatures drop to around 17 C°.
The beach town has over 30 different beach resorts that receive tourists from all over South America. It boasts a large proportion of luxury restaurants and nightclubs for such a small town of 10,000. Resorts rim the nearby kilometers of beaches connected by a road. Most people arrive by bus, private car, or plane from the Talara Airport or Tumbes Airport. Currently, tourism is booming as a large influx of tourists take to the beaches all year round. In 2005 340,000 tourists visited Mancora. The resort town has the unique characteristic to seem private and empty when relaxing on the beach, while brimming with people late into the night at the many nightclubs in town playing loud music. It is extremely well connected to the rest of the country and with easy worldwide access. Buses run down the Peruvian coast to Lima every day with various different companies varying in quality and price

She's the author of the book Poetry Goes Intermedia: US-amerikanische Lyrik des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts aus kultur- und medienwissenschaftlicher Perspektive (Francke a. Verlag, 2010). We spoke in the garden of the Pfefferbett Hostel in Berlin on October 19, 2014, during the the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival.

The conversation was wide-ranging (and I've edited out more than half of it—please excuse all the jump cuts), covering such topics as how poetry film fits into the larger context of poets' use of technology, how poetry films may be used in the classroom to introduce students to poetry as a whole, and how the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival has changed (or not changed) over the years. My favorite thing that Dr. Pfeiler said was this:
"I could see myself going to something like an international poetry museum, where you have different rooms where you can explore a poetry film, or poetry films, either theme-based or throughout the last century, and interact with it again—just me and the film. So that experience: like an installation, where you take time, you sit in your little installation box, it's all black, maybe some other, four or five people are sitting on the floor but you don't necessarily know where they sit."

WILCO Bend iz Čikaga formiran je 1994. godine i to od "ostataka" alternativne country rock grupe Uncle Tupelo. Jedan su od najbitnijih američkih bendova današnjice. Wilco su već svojim debi albumom "A.M." uspjeli da oduševe kritiku, a uspjeh se nastavio i sa narednim albumima "Being There" (1996.) i "Summer Teeth" (1999.).... Najveći komercijalni uspjeh ostvaruju sa albumom “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” (2001). U dvadeset godina dugoj karijeri izdali su devet studijskih albuma. Godine 2005 dobijaju GRAMMY za „ A Ghost is Born“, kao najbolji rock album godine, 2009 drugi GRAMMY za „The Album“ kao najbolji Amerikana album. Sa Billyjem Bragom snimaju album „Mermaid Avenue“, koji sadrži do tada neobjavljene pjesme američkog barda Woodiea Guthriea. 1998 je bio nominovan za GRAMMY kao najbolji savremeni folk album koji je bio inspiracija i Bobu Dylanu. 第1部＝追悼・豊島弘尚 彼方からの凝視
第2部＝縄目の詩(うた)、石ノ柵
「青森EARTH」は青森の大地に根ざしたアートの可能性を探究していくプロジェクトです。今年度は青森ゆかりの画家・豊島弘尚(1933-2013)を追悼する「第１部＝追悼・豊島弘尚 彼方からの凝視」、青森の縄文を代表する遺構の一つ「環状列石(ストーンサークル)」を切り口に縄文と現代の接点のありかを問う「第２部＝縄目の詩(うた)、石ノ柵」の二部構成にて開催します。
第１部でご紹介する豊島弘尚は、身体の部分をモチーフにした触知的な作品から出発、北欧で目にした極光(オーロラ)を「天と地の往復書簡」と表現し、土偶に自らのルーツを感じながら制作を行った画家です。本展では、自己の感覚を基点に置きながら超宇宙的な眼差しを探求する画家の無限の軌跡をみることができます。
第２部でご紹介する作家は、菅谷奈緒、松井茂＋王子直紀＋仲井朋子、松江泰治、村上善男、吉増剛造です。環状列石を支える縄文の論理や世界観を参照項に、詩、写真、音楽、絵画、現代美術と、様々な芸術ジャンルによる作家たちの作品を展覧する本展は、遠くかけ離れたように思える縄文と現代が隣り合せに存在し得るかを問う試みとなります。
二部構成で行われる本展は、青森の大地に根ざしたアートを通じて、血肉の備わった地勢学的視座をもたらします。それは青森という一地域を考えることから、これからの人間・文明・自然観を考える上で大切な視座の一つを培うことにつながるのではないでしょうか。

豊島弘尚 （とよしま・ひろなお） 画家
1933-2013。1933（昭和8）年、青森県上北郡横浜町に生まれる。56 年、稲葉治夫、高山尚、渡辺恂三らと「新表現主義展」結成。57 年、東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油絵を卒業。同年安宅賞を受賞。64 年、「アンデパンダン '64 展」に出品。72 年第４回クラコウ国際版画ビエンナーレ、買上げ賞、75 年にはグラフィカ・クリエーチバ'75（フィンランド）で特別賞受賞。74-75 年にかけて、文化庁芸術家在外研修事業により、北米、北欧に滞在。98（平成10）年、《空に播く種子（父の星冠）》が第21 回安田火災東郷青児美術館大賞受賞。02 年、回顧展「北の光に魅せられて…豊島弘尚展」（八戸市美術館）。06 年、自選回顧展「豊島弘尚展―熾りつづく風景」（池田20 世紀美術館）。08 年、「両洋の眼・2008」展で河北倫明賞受賞。

青森EARTH2014
第1部＝追悼・豊島弘尚 彼方からの凝視
第2部＝縄目の詩(うた)、石ノ柵
「青森EARTH」は青森の大地に根ざしたアートの可能性を探究していくプロジェクトです。今年度は青森ゆかりの画家・豊島弘尚(1933-2013)を追悼する「第１部＝追悼・豊島弘尚 彼方からの凝視」、青森の縄文を代表する遺構の一つ「環状列石(ストーンサークル)」を切り口に縄文と現代の接点のありかを問う「第２部＝縄目の詩(うた)、石ノ柵」の二部構成にて開催します。
第１部でご紹介する豊島弘尚は、身体の部分をモチーフにした触知的な作品から出発、北欧で目にした極光(オーロラ)を「天と地の往復書簡」と表現し、土偶に自らのルーツを感じながら制作を行った画家です。本展では、自己の感覚を基点に置きながら超宇宙的な眼差しを探求する画家の無限の軌跡をみることができます。
第２部でご紹介する作家は、菅谷奈緒、松井茂＋王子直紀＋仲井朋子、松江泰治、村上善男、吉増剛造です。環状列石を支える縄文の論理や世界観を参照項に、詩、写真、音楽、絵画、現代美術と、様々な芸術ジャンルによる作家たちの作品を展覧する本展は、遠くかけ離れたように思える縄文と現代が隣り合せに存在し得るかを問う試みとなります。
二部構成で行われる本展は、青森の大地に根ざしたアートを通じて、血肉の備わった地勢学的視座をもたらします。それは青森という一地域を考えることから、これからの人間・文明・自然観を考える上で大切な視座の一つを培うことにつながるのではないでしょうか。

豊島弘尚 （とよしま・ひろなお） 画家
1933-2013。1933（昭和8）年、青森県上北郡横浜町に生まれる。56 年、稲葉治夫、高山尚、渡辺恂三らと「新表現主義展」結成。57 年、東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油絵を卒業。同年安宅賞を受賞。64 年、「アンデパンダン '64 展」に出品。72 年第４回クラコウ国際版画ビエンナーレ、買上げ賞、75 年にはグラフィカ・クリエーチバ'75（フィンランド）で特別賞受賞。74-75 年にかけて、文化庁芸術家在外研修事業により、北米、北欧に滞在。98（平成10）年、《空に播く種子（父の星冠）》が第21 回安田火災東郷青児美術館大賞受賞。02 年、回顧展「北の光に魅せられて…豊島弘尚展」（八戸市美術館）。06 年、自選回顧展「豊島弘尚展―熾りつづく風景」（池田20 世紀美術館）。08 年、「両洋の眼・2008」展で河北倫明賞受賞。

In 2005, California-native Kristin embarked on a European adventure with three of her girlfriends. While staying at a hostel in Barcelona, Kristin met Tim, a fun-loving Aussie, and they shared an instant connection. Their time together was short-lived for they each had to go their separate ways. But their story did not end there. Over the next year or so, Kris and Tim remained in contact via email and flirted with the idea of seeing each other again. Fortunately, that dream became a reality. After graduating college, Kristin set off on another backpacking trip-this time solo- and made her way to Australia to visit Tim. The highly anticipated meeting took place at Byron Bay and it quickly became clear their initial connection had not faded. They fell in love and traveled the world together. After juggling visas between Australia and America, Kristin and Tim finally settled down in Long Beach, CA. Among only a few family members, they were married on May 8th, 2010. But it wasn't until August 25th, 2012, that Tim's AU family and Kris' US family could gather together, on one continent, to honor and celebrate their love for one another. This video highlights this special occasion.

Máncora es una localidad en el norte del Perú. Es capital del distrito de Máncora en la provincia de Talara, Piura, cerca del departamento de Tumbes. Es un balneario y al mismo tiempo caleta de pescadores. En los últimos años se ha convertido en una playa muy visitada por los surfistas peruanos y extranjeros. Máncora es una playa enclavada en el Pacífico sudamericano, zona que también comprende las playas y caletas de Colán, Punta Sal, Totoritas, Las Pocitas, Cabo Blanco, entre otras.
Máncora y la zona norte del Perú se han convertido en un potencial eje turístico del Perú.

Máncora is a town and beach resort in the Piura Region, in northwestern Peru. It is located in the Talara Province and is capital of the Máncora District. The town has 8,852 inhabitants (1999).
The Pan-American Highway serves as Máncora's main street. The area is known for its attractive turquoise beaches and good waves, making it a surfing destination. This beach location is favored by two ocean currents year round: the cold Humboldt Current 14 to 19 C° and the warm Niño Current 21 to 27 C°, giving it a tropical-dry climate with ocean waters averaging around 24 C°.
Summers last from December to April and are very hot. Rain is usual during the night and the temperature can reach over 38 °C. The rest of the year is dry, breezy, and sunny. The temperature during winter and spring never falls bellow 25 C° during daytime and is usually around the high 20's. Night temperatures drop to around 17 C°.
The beach town has over 30 different beach resorts that receive tourists from all over South America. It boasts a large proportion of luxury restaurants and nightclubs for such a small town of 10,000. Resorts rim the nearby kilometers of beaches connected by a road. Most people arrive by bus, private car, or plane from the Talara Airport or Tumbes Airport. Currently, tourism is booming as a large influx of tourists take to the beaches all year round. In 2005 340,000 tourists visited Mancora. The resort town has the unique characteristic to seem private and empty when relaxing on the beach, while brimming with people late into the night at the many nightclubs in town playing loud music. It is extremely well connected to the rest of the country and with easy worldwide access. Buses run down the Peruvian coast to Lima every day with various different companies varying in quality and price
