As a young couple stops and rests in a small village inn, the man is abducted by Death and is sequestered behind a huge doorless, windowless wall. The woman finds a mystic entrance and is met by Death, who tells her three separate stories set in exotic locales, all involving circumstances similar to hers. In each story, a woman, trying to save her lover from his ultimate tragic fate, fails. The young lady realizes the meaning of the tales and takes the only step she can to reunite herself with her lover.

His lover (Lil Dagover) seeks out the Death figure in a room filled with thousands of burning candles, each representing a human life. Filled with pity for her, he promises to return the young man if she can save even one of three lives about to flicker out.
Otherworldly atmosphere is created by extraordinary, bizarre sets, Gothic lighting and eccentric characters combined with spectacle and camera trickery astonishing for its time. With its many magical and haunting images, DESTINY still possesses real power to impress the imagination. The city department having the dam repaired says they will place extra food to the beavers and building materials according to advice from a beaver expert and keep an eye on the situation doing more if the situation changes. Fish are seen dead in some areas and moving of some fish to the main water basin from the southern moor was decided.
A bit cold at the launch maybe -8 C operating the remote and smart phone with the dji app with woolen gloves seems unpractical.

Destiny (1921 film)
Destiny (German: Der müde Tod, "Weary Death"; originally released in the US as Behind the Wall) is a 1921 silent film directed in Germany by Fritz Lang. The film, rich in special effects, is structured as a frame tale with three stories within the story.
Plot
In the Expressionistic frame story, in which human lives are each represented by a candle, Death grants a woman three chances to save her lover, if love can triumph over death. The three stories within the story each occur in a setting that is nominally historic, but really in the realm of fantasy: an adventure tale with a Persian setting out of the Arabian Nights, a Renaissance Venetian romance, and a largely comic story set in China.
Release
In Germany, the film was poorly received at first, with critics complaining that it was not 'German' enough, but the film was much more successful overseas.Douglas Fairbanks purchased the American rights, to delay its general American release while he copied the effects of the Persian segment for his 1924 The Thief of Baghdad.

Henry Kissinger, the former Secretary of State, National Security Advisor and author of a number of books on foreign policy, who is a frequent guest with the PBS interviewer Charlie Rose; appeared on his show on Friday, March 23, 2007, in the first of a series of interviews with various politicians, on the future of America’s Foreign Policy and its role in the world, called A Memo to the Next President.
