Golden State Warriors belt Patty Mills' San Antonio Spurs in NBA playoffs

The Golden State Warriors have smashed the injury-plagued San Antonio Spurs 136-100 to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA western conference finals.

Australian point guard Patty Mills and the rest of the Spurs showed little fight on Tuesday at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, with the Warriors – propelled by Steph Curry's 29 points – taking a 17-point first-quarter lead and were never challenged.

The Spurs were without injured starters Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, while Mills – just five points – and forward LaMarcus Aldridge (eight) failed to step up in game two of the best-of-seven series.
