Adelaide Crows' AFLW star Erin Phillips back in action in WNBA

Her shooting radar was well off but AFLW best and fairest Erin Phillips has performed strongly in her first basketball game since winning the premiership with Adelaide.

The Crows superstar led Dallas Wings with a team-high four assists in their 87-81 WNBA practice match loss to San Antonio Stars in Texas on the weekend.

AFL plays of round 6

Starting at guard, the veteran Australian Opal scored all six of her points from the free throw line, but struggled in shooting none-from-six from the field.

It was a typically spirited performance from Phillips having switched back to the sport after being crowned an inaugural AFLW premiership player in March.

She left Adelaide soon after winning a string of accolades, including All Australian honours and club champion, to join the Wings for pre-season training.

The Wings next play Indiana Fever in their final WNBA pre-season hit-out this Saturday before their season proper begins against the Opals' Sandy Brondello-coached Phoenix Mercury on May 14.
