TOMBSTONE VILLAIN POWERS BOOTHE DIED MAY 14 AT AGE 68

One of my favorite character actors, Powers Boothe has died at age 68. One of his most famous roles was Curly Bill in the famous western film Tombstone. Such a memorable characterization!

The first role I remember seeing Powers in was as Mass killer Jim Jones in Guyana Tragedy

Boothe first came to national attention in 1980, playing Jim Jones in the CBS-TV movie Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones. Boothe's portrayal of the crazed cult leader received critical acclaim. In Time's story on the production, Boothe was praised: "There is one extraordinary performance. A young actor named Powers Boothe captures all the charisma and evil of 'Dad', Jim Jones." Boothe won the Emmy Award for his role, beating out veterans Henry Fonda and Jason Robards. Full Bio on WIKI

8 OF CUPS: TIME TO LET GO AND FIND WHAT YOU TRULY WANT

The Eight of Cups is a card of release, a sign that it is time let go and move on. Change is in the air and you can feel it.

Even though you may not think you are ready for change, this card is showing up to let you know you are. Release your grip, set free all that feels tight, all that feels forced, and let go of all your stress.
The winds of change are here to blow you free.

Take time to assess your situation from a deeper perspective. Look within and ask, "What do I truly want?" The answers you seek are all found within. You have come to a crossroads with your spiritual and physical self. What used to be of great importance to you no longer feels of value. The material world is diminishing and your soul is seeking inspiration and insight. Meditation and introspection are vital right now.

The past has imprisoned you for too long. You have held yourself responsible for many failures and the weight you carry is much too heavy a burden for you to sustain. It is time to lay down the chains that have held you back. Find freedom in forgiveness. The past does not define you, your past does not equate to the future, you do. What do you truly want?

What you have been giving attention to is no longer serving you and it is time to release attachment and walk away. Carry with you the lessons you received from this experience, find forgiveness for all involved, including yourself.

This card is liberating you from the past, from your blocks and from your attachments to the material world. You are transitioning into a higher vibration, a veil is lifting, and peace is beginning to wash over you. If these things are not yet happening, trust that they will. This change is for your highest good! Do not resist - move with the flow.

BBC SERIES ORPHAN BLACK BEGINS FINAL SEASON ON JUNE 10

This show is one of the best television shows to come from the BBC in my opinion period. The lead actress Tatiana Maslany is beyond amazing. I want to tell all my friends about this show but to do so you would have to give away the plot! If I say it has cloning in it, people I know shut done and won't listen anymore to joy of this show.

So try not to make snap judgments and watch the trailer....then you can binge watch 4 seasons before the new season begins. Comcast has all for seasons online and on VOD.

“We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters,” co-creators John Fawcett and Manson previously said in a joint statement. “The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high.”

BBC America announced he sci-fi drama‘s fifth season will launch on Saturday, June 10 at 10 p.m. ET.

The clone sisterhood has been through it all together. From assassinations, detrimental illnesses, monitors and accidental murders to suburban drug fronts, kidnappings, male clones and biological warfare – there isn’t anything this lot hasn’t experienced. But through it all, they’ve remained united in their love and mission to keep each other safe at all costs. They’ve sacrificed their families, the loves of their lives, and any true sense of normalcy, all for the chance to liberate themselves from forces much bigger than any one of them. This season, they must all fight for the family they’ve chosen, for a new future and ultimately, for freedom.

ONE NATION UNDERWOOD! HOUSE OF CARDS SEASON 5 BEGINS MAY 30

House of Cards is one of our favorite shows of all time. This new season looks fabulous...Thinking maybe our fictional Presidential pair are worse than we originally thought...Just when we thought it was safe to visit Washington DC....

HOUSE OF CARDS season 5 will be released on Netflix later this month. Here is everything you need to know about the new season.

Not much is known about the plot of season five, but it is likely to follow on from Frank's declaration of all-out war on terror group ICO.

Season four ended with Frank promising to "make the terror" in a sadistic attempt to draw attention away from a scandal which was about to engulf the Underwood-Underwood election camapign.

It has been rumoured that Donald Trump will have an influence on Frank's story line. Many fans noted similarities between Frank's chaotic campaign in season four and Trump's own unconventional election.

Many have also speculated that Frank could die at the end of season five. The President’s life hung in the balance in the last run of episodes after he was shot by crazed journalist Lucas Goodwin.

It is thought that he could finally succumb to health problems caused by his wounds, or else be murdered by Claire.

HBO HAS HIRED 4 WRITERS TO DEVELOP GAME OF THRONES SPIN-OFFS!

Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington

VARIETY: HBO has closed deals with four different writers to explore multiple possible spinoffs of “Game of Thrones.”

The premium cable channel says that there is no timeline for development of the projects. “We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and, as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,” a spokesperson said.

The four writers are Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”), Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Brian Helgeland (“Legend”), and Carly Wray (“Mad Men,” “The Leftovers”). Goldman and Wray will each be working individually with novelist and “Game of Thrones” creator George R. R. Martin.

“Game of Thrones” executive producers and showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff will be attached to the four projects, as will Martin, but will not write on any of them.

A spinoff to “Game of Thrones” — the most watched series in HBO history — has been a source of speculation for years. In recent months, HBO executive began to privately acknowledge that the network was searching for writers to develop ideas based on the series and Martin’s best-selling fantasy novels from which it is adapted.

LITTLE WOMEN COMING TO MASTERPIECE ON PBS!

We are excited to announce that PBS and MASTERPIECE will team with Colin Callender’s Playground and the BBC for a television adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s coming-of-age classic, Little Women. Read the latest on this new project!

PBS and MASTERPIECE have announced they will team with Colin Callender’s Playground and the BBC for a television adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s coming-of-age classic, Little Women. The three-part drama will be scripted by Heidi Thomas, well-known to PBS audiences for her acclaimed adaptations of Call the Midwife and Cranford. Vanessa Caswill (Thirteen, My Mad Fat Diary) will direct all three hours. Playground’s Golden Globe-winning adaptation of Wolf Hall aired on MASTERPIECE in 2015.

“There are only a handful of American books that have resonated with readers for as long as Little Women,” said Rebecca Eaton, MASTERPIECE executive producer. “To put this deeply moving story in the hands of a writer with the heart and depth of Heidi Thomas seems just right. And Colin Callender will oversee this production with the magic he brings to everything he touches, whether its Wolf Hall or the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, currently selling out in London.” MASTERPIECE is presented on PBS by WGBH Boston.

Loved by generations of women worldwide, Little Women is a truly universal coming of age story, as relevant and engaging today as it was on its original publication in 1868. Set against the backdrop of the Civil War, the story follows sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March on their journey from childhood to adulthood. With the help of their mother, Marmee, and while their father is away at war, the girls navigate what it means to be a young woman: from sibling rivalry and first love, to loss and marriage.

Set in Concord, Massachusetts, Alcott’s semi-autobiographical story became an instant bestseller when it was published and remains one of the most widely read novels of all time. A recent Harris poll listing it as one of America’s ten favorite books confirms its enduring place in the cultural landscape.

Writer and executive producer Thomas says: “Little Women is one of the most loved novels in the English language, and with good reason. Its humanity, humour and tenderness never date, and as a study of love, grief and growing up it has no equal. There could be no better time to revisit the story of a family striving for happiness in an uncertain world, and I am thrilled to be bringing the March girls to a new generation of viewers.”

“The mini-series is a storytelling form unique to television, and the opportunity to adapt Louisa May Alcott’s novel over three hours is a gift from the BBC and MASTERPIECE on PBS,” said executive producer Callender. “This is a character study of young women rich in texture and detail, and it’s an honour to be able to bring it to life in this extended form with the great Heidi Thomas, one of the finest writers working in television today. In the hands of the exciting directorial style of filmmaker Vanessa Caswill we hope to deliver a new screen version that will speak to contemporary audiences, meet the expectations of the book’s ardent fans and bring a whole new generation to this great classic.”

“Bringing alive this beloved American novel for a new generation of PBS viewers is a dream come true,” said Beth Hoppe, Chief Programming Executive and General Manager, General Audience Programming, PBS. “In the hands of Rebecca Eaton and Colin Callender’s Playground, and with the superb talents of writer Heidi Thomas, we are confident this story of strong women will resonate with both new and longtime fans of MASTERPIECE.”

With a production team from the UK and US, principal photography is set to begin in July and casting will be announced shortly.
