Mohnish Bahl

Mohnish Bahl is an Indian actor working in the Indian film industry and on Indian television. He is the son of actress Nutan and Lt. Cdr. Rajnish Bahl, and a prominent member of Mukherjee-Samarth family.

Career

Mohnish Bahl started his career as a leading man and did films like Dancer, Bekaraar, Teri Bahon Mein, Meri Adalat, Purana Mandir and Itihaas. None of these stabilized his status as a lead, despite the success of "Purana Mandir". Later in 1989, he was reintroduced, this time as a villain in the cult blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya which starred Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. The success of the film transformed Bahl's career and led to him being a very busy villain and character actor. Other notable roles he did was in the 1992 hit Deewana. He was a regular in Soraaj R Bharjatya films Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Vivah.

It was Salman Khan who suggested Mohnish Bahl to Sooraj Barjatya for Maine Pyar Kiya and later in Baaghi: A Rebel for Love. Bahl has also done appeared in Salman's recently released Jai Ho.

Sathya Sai Baba

Sathya Sai Baba (born Sathya Narayana Raju; 23 November 1926 – 24 April 2011) was an Indian guru, and philanthropist. He claimed to be the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi.

Sai Baba's materialisations of vibhuti (holy ash) and other small objects such as rings, necklaces, and watches, along with reports of miraculous healings, resurrections, clairvoyance, bilocation, and alleged omnipotence and omniscience, were a source of both fame and controversy. His devotees considered them signs of his divinity, while sceptics viewed them as simple conjuring tricks. He further faced accusations over the years of sexual abuse and fraud, which he rejected as smear campaigns.

The Sathya Sai Organisation, founded by Sathya Sai Baba "to enable its members to undertake service activities as a means to spiritual advancement", has over 1,200 Sathya Sai Centres (branches) in 126 countries. Through this organisation, Sathya Sai Baba established a network of free hospitals, clinics, drinking water projects, auditoriums, ashrams and schools.

Aman Verma

Aman Verma (born Eleven October 1971) is an Indian television anchor and an actor. As an anchor, Verma is best known for hosting the famous game show Khullja Sim Sim on Star Plus from 2001 to 2004. His other hosting duties were with Mini Mathur in the first season of Indian Idol on Sony Entertainment Television and Zee TV's Zee Cinestars. He has also acted in Bollywood movies. Verma is currently seen in Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath as ACP Diler Kumar. The show airs on Life OK every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM. He also participated in the ninth season of Indian reality series Bigg Boss.

Career

Aman Verma made his acting debut in the TV serial Pachpan Khambe laal Diwar with Meeta vashishta in 1987. Then he started his film career with, Sangharsh (1999), portraying a supporting role. He portrayed the role of Anupam Kapadia for four years in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. In 2002, Verma portrayed the lead role of Aditya Pratap Singh in Kehta Hai Dil, for which he won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Lead Role - Male in 2003.

Anantha Poongatre

Anantha Poongatre (Tamil: ஆனந்த பூங்காற்றே) is a Tamil film directed by Raj Kapoor and starring Ajith Kumar, Karthik, Meena and Malavika in the lead roles. The film is based upon how respect can be mistaken as love by circumstances and the film subsequently opened to positive reviews and became commercial success, securing two state awards.

Plot

Meenatchi (Meena) is a widow living with her son Nandu (Pathanjali Srinivasan). Jeeva (Ajithkumar), living in the same colony, has been pining silently for her for the last 4 years. He runs an organization called A-to-Z, which can get anything done for anybody.

Jeeva follows Divya (Malavika) get some information on her for her suitor but she ends up falling for him and pursues him relentlessly. He avoids her, telling her that he is already in love with someone else and when cornered, reveals that it is Meenakshi.

This leads to some surprising revelations about Meenakshi's past, Meenatchi is a music student of Haridas (Karthik). Haridas has a child, whose mother Banu (Banupriya) died giving birth to him. Their mutual respect is mistaken for romance by her father (Vijayakumar) and Haridas is killed in the fracas. Later Meena vows to live like a widow, taking care of Haridas' child. However, that very day, Jeeva and his parents were about to see Meenatchi as a prospective bride. When Jeeva sees this scene unfolding before his eyes, he starts admiring her courage. Despite his parents' protests, he assures Meenatchi's father that he would make her change her mind and that he would marry her. But Meenatchi's world turns upside down when Divya's father, a staunch supporter of love marriage, kidnaps Nandu and asks Jeeva to marry Divya. Jeeva of course accepts and things are then resolved in the climax.
