I'll Defend Dairy Till The Cows Come Home

It was so disappointing to read Pete Evans' suggestion that dairy foods, in particular milk, were unhealthy. He even went as far as saying that the calcium in dairy foods leached calcium from the bones causing osteoporosis. What a load of hogwash.

The Health Benefits Of Chocolate Are Sweet As

My late grandfather used to give me chocolate frogs when I was a little tacker. It earned him the nickname Grandpa Choc. He didn’t necessarily know the health benefits of chocolate, but he knew that giving me the occasional chocolate frog always brought a smile to my dial.

Not All Processed Food Is Unhealthy

My gym trainer recently told me that he avoids bread because it is processed. But bread (especially the wholegrain variety) is a wonderfully nutritious food -- in fact it’s one of my pantry staples. So what’s the problem with processed foods? And why are they perceived as bad or less healthy?
