It’s the perfect sartorial solution to beer belly draught

For decades now, dad style has become synonymous with oblivious-to-fashion dressing. Think pleated trousers, stonewashed jeans, short-sleeve shirts and ugly trainers.

But, somewhere along the way your old man’s style has been seeping into the fashion mainstream.

And, according to men’s style bible GQ, the latest trend to make the switch is the tucked-in T-shirt.

That’s right, the once-nerdy decision to bunch your top into your jeans is now considered the height of fashion by runway designers and street style stalwarts alike.

The publication make a pretty convincing case for its resurgence into the sartorial spotlight what with well-dressed guys like Off-White’s Virgil Abloh, A$AP Rocky and brands like Gucci opting for a full tuck.

But if you don’t quite have the physique of a Greek Adonis, the tucked-in tee can be seriously unforgiving.

After all, this is a ‘look’ that most dads chose to adopt out of practicality rather than an impulse to look stylish.

Far from a fashion statement, it merely serves as a tool to prevent your beer belly catching a draught.

While GQ laud these style stars for pairing their tucked-in tees with trendy kicks, jeans and high-waisted pants, which undeniably look pretty edgy.

One can’t expect the same voguish results on an average Joe with a slight paunch and low-key moobs.
