A woman accused of stabbing five men, killing one of them, told her victims "we are all going to die tonight", according to documents presented to a court hearing.

Natascha Mielke, 39, appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder following an alleged stabbing spree on Brisbane's inner northside on Friday night.

In documents tendered to the court, Police alleged the woman confronted three of the survivors in two separate rooms at Pinjara Lodge on Kennedy Terrace in Paddington and issued the chilling warning.

They allege she then found a fourth man in the yard outside the common room and stabbed him once in the abdomen and three times in the back. That man later died in hospital.

Police were called to the site about 10pm.

Soon afterwards, police allege Ms Mielke confronted another man on a bridge near Waterworks Road, Near Woolcock Park in Ashgrove, and attempted to stab him.

Police alleged they found her under the bridge and holding a large knife and they arrested her.

Nicholas Hanly, representing the accused, told the court his client had mental health issues. Documents presented to the court alleged Ms Mielke suffered from schizophrenia and had been homeless for a year.

Magistrate Zachary Sarra remanded Ms Mielke in custody to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court via video link on May 22.
