I can't seem to visit the fundraiser webpage. I don't know if it's just me or not. But yeah... the connection times out every time I try to connect

Mike: very interesting. A lot learned as usual. However I was surprised by the estimate you mention on the size o the "pardo " population compared to the "mestizo " one. Was IT really so large?

First of all, I want to say that I am a huge fan of the show and I totally forgive you your struggles with the Spanish and French pronunciations (though I am not sure whether I will say the same about German pronunciation should you ever do the 1918/1919 November revolution). I have started listening to your Podcast two months or so ago and have now caught up...
However, I am curious what you as something of an expert on the ways power is held and lost have to say about this CGP Grey video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rStL7niR7gs I personally must say that I generally appreciate Grey's work, but this is too deceptively easy and Haiti shows that there never truly is any group that you can safely ignore, because all free Haitians made precisely that error with regards to the slaves in the early phase of the revolution. Or am I wrong on that?
