What We Do

Through deeply reported stories, stirring critiques, and insightful interviews, Seattle Weekly connects its readers to the doers, thinkers, businesses, and entertainers that shape this city and give it life. And we connect our readers to each other by acting as a platform for robust debates about the most important political, business and cultural stories of the moment.

But we do more than host those debates. We aim to shape them through dogged reporting and artful storytelling that speaks to an independent, thoughtful readership. We report on those Seattleites in the centers of power with a particular focus on the distance between what they say and what they do. We listen to the concerns of residents in the midst of the often exciting and sometimes unnerving transformations at play in the city. And we give voice to our neighbors on the margins, lifting up their stories for the powerful to hear.
