Nicole Kidman, Jesinta Franklin put wedding dresses on display at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum

The Balenciaga gown worn by Nicole Kidman when she wed Keith Urban will be just one of the wedding dresses on display in a Sydney exhibition.

Love Is... Australian Wedding Fashion will feature more than 60 outfits worn by famous Australian brides and grooms and will be on display at the Powerhouse Museum.

The Vera Wang dress model Jesinta Campbell wore when she married Sydney AFL player Lance Franklin will be in the exhibition, as will socialite and fashion writer Kate Waterhouse's Vera Wang outfit.

Designer Collette Dinnigan's wedding dress will be shown along with the J'Aton that Terry Biviano wore when she married rugby league player Anthony Minichiello.

The men get a look-in, too, with the display featuring Dan Single's Tom Ford suit and the Versace and Moschino worn by Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell when they tied the knot in New Zealand.

The exhibition will also feature an array of wedding dresses from various eras, dating to Australia's oldest surviving wedding dress, which was worn by Ann Marsden in 1822, through to colonial fashions and outfits from the 1920s, the 1960s and up to today.

Love Is... Australian Wedding Fashion opens in Sydney's Powerhouse Museum on Saturday and runs until April 22, 2018.
